This was all just so lovely and reading it again after all these years brought back all the feelings and smiles. I had completely forgotten your lovely triad tradition, which works perfectly for their situation. As a kitsune, and particularly one who already felt he had a soul bond of sorts with his friend, it was easy to see how Kurama would be able to easily reconcile that relationship. And I think his influence and Shippou's would make it easier for both Kagome and Kuwabara to buck human sensibilities and go for it. This was an absolute delight from start to finish! I am such a huge fan of your imagination and creativity! Much love to you always!

This whole chapter had me teary-eyed all the way through it. So, Kuwabara had already stopped going to see them and then Kurama decides to step aside, too. Poor, poor Kagome! All she did was welcome them and let them become like family, and then they both pull a stunt like that. Now, both of them are being extremely noble and trying to do the right thing for each other, but they kind of forgot about her in the mix. Kurama leaving and Shippou knowing what he was doing and how it would hurt her-and him-was heart-wrenching. Leave it to Kouga to go straight to Koenma and demand action. Shippou let him know who was responsible. Now, I definitely don't claim to know how the threesome would work on a romantic level, but I do love the three of them together. So, I can't wait to see how you resolve everything. Really, Kagome should just go out with Hojo and tell them they made their choice. LOL! (NO!)

This may be my favorite chapter so far, even though it ends with some angst. First, Kagome helped Kurama out of some deep, gloomy thoughts, then she and Kuwabara had such a touching moment when she gave him the gloves. Kurama wanting to play with his mother's hair really touched me. His desire to tell her the turth, but his fear of her reaction showcases his vulnerability perfectly. Then we have Kuwabara feeling like he's a third wheel because obviously Kagome and Kurama would make a good pair, and he feels unattractive and inadequate, especially after being rejected by the one he knew he was fated to be with. I am so looking forward to what he finds out from reading those scrolls. It's too bad he has held back on telling her about his time as a spirit detective.

Such a sweet little outing for the four of them. I was glad to see Kurama playing with Shippou this time. And it's about time Kagome finally told those girls off. How awful of them to come up and insult the two who had helped her find Shippou. More hints about Yukina. Spill it! All the juicy details! _

I meant to mention in my review of the last chapter how awesome it was that Kagome understood and appreciated Kuwabara's studies. And her self-deprecating manner when she told them she didn't have the grades to go to a university was sad, but sweet. I loved her story about Souta being in the J League. And how lovely in this chapter that when Kurama decided he wanted to see her and Shippou again that he went to get Kuwabara first. And he subtly manipulated him into visiting them, but Kuwabara figured it out. Love that! I also enjoyed the hint at how and why the two of them have become such close friends. I am wondering what happened with Yukina now. And Kagome didn't pull any punches when he was being nosey. Seems like it's time for sharing some secrets.

And now we get a view from Kuwabara. Perfect. I love the peacefulness they all felt together. It was sweet of her to invite them back.

It was nice to see everything through Kurama's eyes in this chapter. It's nice that he knows and can recognize that Kagome seems to know things from an earlier time. Such a peaceful dinner! Just lovely!

Yet another of her friends. Poor Kuwabara and Kurama, having to be polite, but trying to help Kagome get home with Shippou. I really love the friendship between Kurama and Kuwabara in this.

Now Kurama understands why he couldn't find Shippou's mother. Nice! Poor Kagome and her pushy friends. How lovely that Kurama and Kuwabara decided to step in and help her out.

I loved Kurama's interaction with Shippou! I especially enjoyed the tidbit about how Shippou's comment about the length of her hair said more than it sounded like. I was starting to get worried that Kagome had been snatched by a demon or something since I knew she would be frantically searching for Shippou.

"The tall man blinked down at the child as he closed his eyes and grabbed his toes while leaning forward." It's the little details like this that always ring so true in your writing and bring it to life for me.

Shippou is so precious in this! And I love Kuwabara being the kind-hearted, gallant hero.
