I must admit a longstanding fetish with this story. Whenever I lack inspiration or find that my course is diverging, I generally find myself right back here. Most of the time I tend to overlook these short drabble stories, but I never just 'overlook' yours. You always have the best things cleverly concealed in these little narratives and I could gush over them forever. There's just something about the way you always characterize Piccolo that makes your writings on him so... well attractive. I adore the sentimentality with which you can write him and make his character be completely believable. Hell, not even I can pull that off, not with any decent amount of grace anyway. Your writing just flows so well and so precisely that it leaves no doubt in my mind whatsoever as to why you are my favorite author on this entire network- and I read a lot... A LOT of fanfiction.

How did I miss this story? I don't know, and I'm not usually a Pic/Gohan fan as it comes to romance - this is particularly well written and I love the angst in it. Call me a oddling but I really can love the tragic better than the comical or happy-endings.

A tad short though - and I only say this because I simply loved it enough to want much more. Looking forward to your next story.

Very well done. I love your Piccolo/Gohan stories; this one is very bittersweet. It makes me feel very sorry for Piccolo. Amazing characterisation, by the way; you make him emotional without making him seem OOC.

You have a tiny mistake, though. The title is improperly capitalised: it should be "Simple as a Kiss".

i love these lines:

pic's such a sucker for gohan, he's the only that can get him to cave in and be sweet like that, and this story really showed it. piccolo's weakness is gohan! and it created such a desperate mood too... i like how the namek was more worried about gohan than himself being hurt, cuz that's how it looks like it's gonna turn out. i'm surprised you included the condom. that was responsible of you. or them, lol.

constructive criticism: the only thing wrong with this story is... it left me wanting more!
