I had accepted before starting to read that the story goes unfinished and that I will have to deal with frustration maybe. I was ready. But no, I'm not. Because I've enjoyed it so much that the reason I'm sad it's not even that it's unfinished but just the fact I don't want to let them. I don't want to not have more to read. 54 chapters weren't enough. I guess the conclusion is : thank you for your story!

Ralph and Amanda, like Emily and Sheldon, are the definition of high school couples : cute, weird, funny. I love them.

Ok I have to review this chapter. It's adorably cute ! And I have a weakness for Christmas and christmas things/scenes/movies, a big weakness. I'm glad Derek had keep the princess sign for Casey. I couldn't imagine a better one.

I'm now in the middle of my reading and this story is something that I didn't expect. The plot with having Derek deaf was something that took my interest, for sure. I was curious, for several reasons, This detail is big detail but it's sort of become a minor thing, because you have made them act exactly how they are supposed to be, plus if they were in this situation. I mean it's so real (to me), I feel like it's almost the real story. I really enjoy my reading and I 'm to lazy (in other things) to comment every chapter but I wanted to let you know before I 'll reach the last chapter you wrote that I spend a very good time with your story that keep my interest since a few days.

Ohhh I’m cryin’ so hard- this story is still so good, after all these years! As much as I miss this story, though, I know that nothing good comes from forcing someone to write something they no longer have inspiration for. So regardless of whether or not you return to writing, all I want you to know is: (a) thank you for the stories you gave us and (b) no matter what you’re doing in life, I hope it’s what you love.

I'm rereading this story for the first time in a decade and god, it's still such a fantastic piece of fiction. I'm so invested in this world, I'm trying to drag the next 14 chapters out as long as possible. In my heart I hope maybe one day you'll pick this back up, if only to give it a proper ending or even better turn it into original work because honestly the only thing tying this LWD is the names. Either way just wanted to jot this little note to say thank you for all the time and heart you put into this years ago, it still reaches out to people. I'll probably write something longer and sappier once I'm at the end.

You’re telling me that I just dedicated 3 days to finishing an incredible 54 chapter dasey fic THAT ISNT FINISHED?! *weeps* it’s been 7 years since you last updated so the odds are slim that it’ll get passed this which I guess is karmic energy for me considering I abandoned a fic a few years back (not LWD related). Yours is way WAY better, trust me. I loved everything about it. The way you shed light on the ASL community was truly educational for me. It may be left unfinished but it will remain one of my fave dasey fics ever and I will keep rereading it regardless because the way you got each character pinned is incredible and the dasey dynamic is on point. Well done!

This was wonderful. The way things unfolded was neither novelistic nor episodic—it just felt like one long, lovely narrative, populated with people who felt real and detailed, and quite possibly the slowest slowburn I've ever enjoyed so much in a fic. Great work!

I've been wanting to reread this story for ages, but I just realized once I found it that the reason I couldn't find it anymore was due to the fact I thought it had been completed. I'm super sad to realize this fact, because this story is AMAZING. It's so funny, sweet, adorable, and very well-written! All the characters are complete and dynamic, and the pacing is perfect. It's one of those stories I read many, many, many years ago, but have always remembered it, and now that I've found it I'm going to keep it around to reread a few times (and follow against all hope that one day it might be finished).

This is such a wonderful story. I'm glad to have found it and be able to read it all over again. You have such a beautiful way with words. I hope at some point you come back and revisit the website so that you can see how much your stories have meant to everyone.
