Holy crap was that depressing :[ I mean, very well done, but, *man*. This makes it so much easier to hate Sho personally, instead of authorially understanding his character and it's relationship to Kyoko's hate. Very, very well done.

This story was painful for me to read. Not because it was sad or anything but because this was very realisticto what kyoko's love was like

Awesome one shot. This captures their early relationship perfectly. Kyoko's naive willingness and Sho's self-centeredness were right on.

I also like that you made Sho show concern for her even if he denies it and needs her to be close even though it's out of his own selfishness. Kyoko is so happy-go-lucky and tough. The bit about her home life shows how much even a scrap of affection would mean to her. No wonder Sho's later actions was such a blow.

The characterization of the others was perfect too. The mob of girls surrounding Sho like sharks was cute. "Kyoko forgot the laws of physics and stampeded through the crowded street, barely missing fellow pedestrians and innocent children. In her wake, the people were left stunned, mothers clutching their wide eyed children, coughing on the dust." In the manga, nameless bystanders are always there to accentuate the drama. Their expressions and reactions are always so silly lol.

I hope that these two would really end up together. They're changing for the better, but I'm sure that Kyoko will end up with Ren. Oh well, that's what fanfiction is for.

this really is a great viewpoint on their relationship from the manga. I love Sho and Kyoko - not as a couple, but I just love how they interact and act like siblings & lovers fighting all at the same time. They have a relationship that can't die no matter what kyoko's demons have to say about that.

you captured his love for himself and his need of kyoko perfectly. this was a fun read.
