Knowing about the ending and reading this leaves a bittersweet taste and that's just...awesome~~

Honestly, just reading your little notes i become curious about your reaction to the finale, and to how this fic would have spiraled if you had continued, thought i don't mind the ending because it gives hope, and well...we all wanted them having a good ending, one that included them and not only the world's peace

Looking back at this and comparing it to your more recent fare, I can see how much you've progressed over the years. There's still the innate talent in this fic, however, that adds a little sort of magic to your words.
I was watching R2 and I wanted to read your Code Geass fics, so I checked this one out and I was not disappointed by how well Lelouch's inner turmoil is written out. Suzaku and Nunally are the only people he ever puts his dreams and ideals at risk for, and even though he expresses regret over wiping Shirley's memory and has a friendly relationship with his fellow student council members, Lelouch only risks himself for his little sister and his childhood best friend (or lover, depending on how one looks at it, huehuehue). In this fic Lelouch seems reluctant, hesitant about hurting Suzaku with his Geass powers but wants Suzaku to survive despite their differences nonetheless. He expresses this care, this willingless to jump off a precarious cliff just to ensure his friend's safety (and this really bites him in the back at the end of R1, haha). And even after they make love he still refers to Suzaku as his friend, showing that he's not entirely sure if Suzaku actually wanted him or that he even acted on his own desires and not Lelouch's. His Geass powers are subject to his human emotions, and those human emotions are what brought him, Zero, down several times throughout the series. He fights for his little sister and for his friend's life but loses much because he fights for his loved ones and not just for himself. I just love how this fic really nutures that aspect of Code Geass and then shows how it would turn out in another universe where Lelouch and Suzaku were together.

Overall, despite this being not as solidly written as your Hetalia fics (I mean nothing negative by that, even your older stories are well-written and enjoyable), I'm liking this very much and will like it even more as I probe and prod at the inner theming. Instead of reviewing each chapter, I'll sum up what I want to say here (on the last one). Your writing is as always top-notch, wonderful characterization, and the sprinkles of yaoi hotness is always welcome. I was also thrilled to see a happy ending, even though it kind of made me sad too. Don't know why, really, I guess all the 'I love you's' got to me. I was misty-eyed near the end.

Anyway, thank you for an awesome and emotionally driven story.

Nicely written! I didn't expect it to end there, but I liked it a lot. Their relationship was very interesting :) and the lemons made it more interesting lol. I really like how you played off of their most evident personality traits.

The story was amazing,although I was kinda looking forward to the ultra dramatic ending scene from the anime, when Suzaku just HAS to kill Lelouch, I was curious how you would make the moment even more dramatic with their romantic bond and all... You also missed the fact, that before Suzaku, CC and Lelouch can even go into the palace, they first had to proclaim Lelouch emperor, with all of his siblings opposing him and then Suzaku jumping into the scene ninja-style and Lelouch announcing him as his knight and all. And of course, the fact that Lelouch was immortal by the time when Suzaku decided to strangle him. Aside from these small things, I enjoyed reading this a lot. But still... missing the main and final scene between them, when you could put all of the drama... I wish you didn't...

You write so well, i've just been reading this until really early into the morning and I have college in a few hours! This story is just so lovely I'm really impressed well done. You're really talented.
