Man I loved both of these. Great analysis of the characters, and lots of interesting goodies with the alternate "life paths". It was also interesting to read them one after the other and see how widely different they reacted to this-Casavir with acceptance and contemplation, Bishop with anger, then grudging acceptance, then regret.

I liked the mention of using geases to bring back Qara and Bishop in Casavir's last "alternate path", it's a cool idea. As for Bishop, the PC spending TWELVE years trying to pull him out of the Wall (as part of Kaelyn's crusade, perhaps?) is both awesome and pretty sweet.

I have written stories similar to this, but I didn't do it half as well. This is simply amazing.

There were so many places in this fic where I simply got chills. Especially when it came to Casavir's emotional responses to what he was seeing. And the part where you showed how "tyr" is part of martyrdom was very clever.

It's as if you were showing us all of the different aspects of these two characters that we all debate so much.

I am curious- which path would YOU have preferred them to take?

To be starkly honest, I preferred the first two, but that's simply because it's far harder to write a PC for everyone to identify with. Not to mention that they have so many alternate paths! A bit more detail for the setting would be nice... The light was so dim yet she could see her blood?:/ Something like that. Killing everyone in various combinations was interesting, as was how her lovers never come to a good end (:3 at Obsidian!). I wonder where she's going now... :P

I love this. It's so beautiful it made my heart hurt. And what a fantastic concept! All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players - in life AND in death! Nice, I likie. Applause, applause. :D

Now that I finally remembered my password, I can post a review:P I love the premise of the story; original, though I wonder which of the two chapters would be true (or perhaps they are standalone?) unless she manages to get them into a menage a trois:P I particularly liked the martyr's choice... It's very true!

My goodness, I've been catching up on as much fanfic as I could lately, and I really have to commend you on this piece, especially chapter two. It was truly beautiful and heartwrenching, especially that last scene, with his lady smiling and crying, I very much teared up myself.

Great job, and I can't wait for more!

I will have to make some tweaks, as the petty or merchant nobility is a complete rejection of the hero's call, ala Joseph Campbell. And I still think resurrection means it takes a day or so to get back on your feet, note that rest was mentioned for Qara and Bishop before they could even storm away.

Love this Casavir version. Petty nobility...find that kinda hard to believe, but hey, in another life anything's possible. You have talent, and I respect that. Oh! Ha! Just realized Casavir was like Casanova. Makes sense considering the romance option.
