I do understand that this was written a long time ago, and that you may not even be reading any reviews, but I did want to say one thing about this chapter, and that is, while you do get the goal of furthering the plot without much exposition, the way the letters were written seems somewhat... odd. They are more like notes than letters, to be honest, and I'm not quite sure they'd be worth the effort to send as is.

I could suggest a couple different ways to fix that sort of problem (if indeed you see it as a problem at all): one is to cut down on the number of letters sent, and instead have them write only a couple, longer letters back and forth. This would cut down on the jarring effect of having the letters seem more like notes than actual correspondence. However, you did want to cut down on exposition, and while the longer letters would do so, they would also be quite long in themselves, so to cut down on the letters themselves, you could only include the pertinent aspects of the longer letters via ellipses (...), which provide a simple, easy way to show that the portions I as the reader am reading are parts of longer tracts, but that this is the only section that I should know of.

I want to congratulate you on writing the speech patterns of the characters, especially Larsa and Basch, so well. I always felt that Vaan and Penelo were the hobbits of FFXII, existing as more relate-able members of the "Fellowship", as it were, while the others were definitely the more heroic carriers of the main plotline.

Very cute! Oh, poor Larsa. I can see how and why he'd be infatuated with Penelo, and how he wouldn't see everything around him. Quite, quite adore it! And Basch! Oh, Basch! How I love you and your tendency to put all heavy matters on your own shoulders... and PENELO. Love her.

This must be the best Penelo x Basch I've ever read. please don't say you stopped writing. It has so much passion and fire. Please continue writing soon, I can barely stand the pressure. What will Basch do about that Judge? Is he in real danger? And poor Penelo...

Amazing story! I first read this because it was one of the 2 longest fanfics for PeneloxBasch (sadly there aren't many T.T) but it's really really good! Awesome! Love triangles are always so dramatic but addicting XD Poor Basch saw them "kiss" though it was totally one-sided, but he must believe that! Hopefully. Update soon, the plot is still thickening more that clay :3

ohmigoodness this story has my tummy doing backflips! i sound like such a loser when i say it but it's true! i never thought i'd be interested in a basch/penelo story but the summary piqued my interest and it did not disappoint...at all! you are a very gifted writer and you do such a great job in tying everything together and keeping all the characters...well, in character! i am putting this story on alert immediately and i cannot wait for you to update!
