There are so many good ideas in this, but, the one thing that really bugged me about this is that you gave the 'good' characters, the heroes, some very ugly thoughts and feelings, wereas the 'bad' characters got the lion-share of the nobility. The bad were bad for a reason, and the good were good for a reason. I am not saying that heroes are perfect and villians are completely flawed, but I think you went too far toward corrupting the heroes and venerating the villians. Suggesting that Ron was an adulterer at heart and Lupin hated his child just goes too far. You seemed to discount what the characters did. People are what they think, and if all the 'good' characters were so foul on the inside, it would have shown eventually. Same for the 'bad' guys. It would have been nice to have seen a little more balance. It was just too easy to tear everyone down. There really are good people ou there in the world, inside AND out.

i know i've reviewed bunches of your chapters but i reread it and i gotta comment on this.

i like that you showed peter for what he was. he wasn't mercilessly evil like voldemort or the death eaters, he was greedy. he was envious. and he wanted to be more powerful than he was. he wanted power so bad that he'd sell three of his best friends for it. and no one seems to portray that :P

oh and one more thing! everyone makes him seem like a tagalong when i really dont think he was... i think he was genuinely their friend. in their minds, anyway.
