Those last two lines are officially my favorite lines. Ever.

This thing is so powerful... Have I favourited it yet? Well, If I have, I suppose I've just favourited it two times over, then. I can't help it, this story always makes me have to stop and think and then reread it again...

Like everything else you've written, this is brilliant! I mean, what people don't comprehend is that Light is neither good nor evil and L is no better than Light. They both use intolorable methods, and in the end, they both are trying to defend their own opinion of justice and convince the world what they're doing is right.

The bolded stuff made the story interesting, only some of the stuff cuts off.

I think you should write more Death Note fics, honestly. I think it really brings out your inner talent of comprehending all this deep stuff!

You make me feel as if there's no point trying to write, because no matter how good I am... Well, look at yourself!

If you're not published, you better get to it. The world does not deserve to be deprived of your talents.

"Light, he refuses to waste time hating L when logic tells him to hate Kira instead."

"Perhaps Light will be Kira again. L hopes so."

"How else do you pretend that you're pretending?"

All of those lines left me breathless.

You go so deeply with both of these characters, and it's so right, because that's exactly what both of them do, what they're about. I love, absolutely love your interpretation of them, the slight touches of Light as an artist (I don't know if using a musical extended metaphor in the very beginning of your "ballad" was intentional, but it WORKS) and the bolded ballad outline.

Brava! (I think I prefer your response to boredom to Light's.) ;-)

If you haven't, I suggest it. It is an incredible read, my favourite ever DN story, extremely well written. And Justify is easily on par with it.

Well, I shall thank the Christmas vacation for bringing another of your brilliant piece of writing. I LOVE it, it is very deep. Of course, the analogy with chess was excellent, and it's fit for their game. I especially liked how you portrayed their thoughts on each situation, L's especially, that confidence that he will catch Kira, and the idea of him using torture. I find him perfectly capable of using torture on his suspects, and I don't mean just what we saw in the manga/anime. And the ending was excellent!

That was amazing. I think the habit of killing them off when you are bored is quite a good one, really. I like reading the fruits of your boredom. It goes to a good cause, all in all.

Oh wow. It took me a while, but I'm glad I read it. The style of this fic was... different. I liked it.

Heh...Well at least you always manage to kill them beautifully. Something about the dangerous magnetism of these two always keeps my attention in these stories. Also loved the bolded words approach that you took. The ending line gave me tingles, and now I'm in a sluggishly pensive mood. (yay)
