Oh... I have never heard of the episode that is being spoken of that Sam went through. But now I want to, haven't seen the whole series yet - on season 5.

Very nice way of looking at the two on how they'd react and help one another. I really liked it, loved the hug at the end and how Vala held Sam to comfort her. Even though it isn't her area of expertise in that sort of thing, just being herself and being honest.

This is sweet and lovely. You've managed to capture Vala's off-beat, likely-to-say-anything nature very well. Her making Sam laugh seems perfect, as does Sam obsessing over feeling she'd been unable to fulfill Emerson's last order effectively. Very nice.

thanks for showing the friendship that we can see in the episodes but isn't given enough time to be explored thoroughly.

I liked the way you've portrayed the characters, both by giving Vala a bit more to her backstory, but also allowing real emotions to be seen.

You've always been great at writing them in character and this is exactly right too.

Very nice story (heart warming). I so agree with you on Janet and Dr Lam. Dr Lam has to be the most un-warm (sorry, wrong English) doctor I have ever seen in real life or on any TV show. I would have loved to see this scene or something similar in a real episode. I can actually see this bonding happening. Both Sam and Vala are completely in character. Amazing!

I always loved the one on one relationship Vala has with Sam. It's just the girl in me. hehehehe. This was great that Vala was able to help Sam, like no other. I think Vala's intuition about her now friend helped Sam release that inner pain that Sam always has to push down deep. You conveyed that Sam has always had to carry more than her share of pain and certainly she's human and just can't keep going on as if nothing has happened or affected her. Stories like these are so unique and you get to see another side of both women. Strong, vulnarable, caring, intelligent and very, very perceptive. Nice. :D

I remmy that eppy; I was so shocked at Emmerson buying the farm in so senseless a way. He was such a cool commander.

This was a great look into Sam and Vala's friendship. Excellent.
