I found this when i went to the last page.

On one side, I must admit that the poem is beautiful. It flows well, yet when spoken out loud sounds beautiful, as a poem should.

However, Voldemort is OoC. I agree with one of the other reader that Voldemort would have some sort of admiration for Lily, albeit begrudgingly, but what is written her is soft compared to his real personality.

One of the first HP- fanfictions... a very interesting take on what Voldemort must have been thinking when standing face to face with Lily. I just like the sort of mystery of this whole piece. It doesn't say exactly what happens just like that. I really liked it. Thank you for writing and sharing.

Actually, I loved this. I think Voldemort did have some admiration for Lily. He knew he didn't have to kill her and he told her that, he only killed her because she stood in his way. I especially love the first verse.

I'm not interested in poetry but you might've changed my mind. Granted, I don't think Voldemort would think of Lily in such a light, given that she's muggle-born and worthless to him but this is still nice.

Wow! I know it's been, like, almost 17 years since this was published, and, well, a year before I was even born, but this poem is amazing! If it weren't for my curiosity in seeking some of the first Harry Potter fanfics on this site I wouldn't have read this wonderful work. Granted, it doesn't really coincide with my idea of Voldemort and the kind of person (is it even fair to call him that?) he is, but this is still very well written.

17 years later and this poem still stands against test of time. I only found this by going to last page and glad I did. I like the arrangement of stanzas and third stanza is my favorite. The contrast of heaven and hell in the second line describing Lily is awesome. "Veiled in hell" is my favorite line in this poem. The second stanza really brings out the tragedy of the whole situation.
