Reviews for Return to the Skies
Trekkiehood chapter 7 . 11/5/2018
I was really hoping for a talk between Papa and Baby bear. So glad I got it! Bailey is one of my favourites characters from you stories!
Violaze chapter 16 . 1/6/2015
I loved it. Character portrayals and action scenes were excellent. I look forward to reading more.
SaraiEsq chapter 16 . 10/8/2014
(claps) Bravo! Nicely done!
SaraiEsq chapter 11 . 10/8/2014
Heart-pounding. Yes, heart-pounding excitement.
SaraiEsq chapter 9 . 10/8/2014
You have stock in Kleenex, don't you? I mean, your writing is so emotion-drenched, it's hard to keep from needing the tissues...
Major kell chapter 16 . 6/24/2012
Oh wow frostbite sounds very painful! Very good story I really enjoyed it:)!
sparra-music chapter 2 . 7/9/2011
I find it VERY unrealistic (and annoying, like a hair that keeps falling in your face and tickling your nose, no matter how much you try to blow it away) that the average speed for the entire trip was 25 mph. Doesn't Hogan say in one ep that rear echelon speed limit is 45 mph? And a General on the Fuhrer's staff is hardly rear echelon, no matter what he's doing. In 2.65 hours, I'd have expected them to get at least 120 miles, which would quadruple the 'search area' for the lab. But I guess in the grand scheme of things, that wouldn't make too much difference to the plot overall.

Really liked the line: "If they suddenly find themselves without a Papa Bear, we'll get them a stepfather." Although I couldn't help thinking that ANYONE chosen to replace Hogan for any reason would automatically be tagged Wicked Stepmother by his crew...

Another great line: "Sleepjumping is against the rules."

I love the shoe excuse at the end, too. That one in particular seems very Hoganish. Logical if you don't look too closely at it, but implausible enough that most people would never use it because they'd be afraid of not being believed.
Amonshy chapter 1 . 1/18/2011
Nice story so far. )

Though there are a few mistakes in the German parts.

But it's great anyway.
slakalot chapter 16 . 9/26/2008
Hands down the best HH's fic I've read. Brilliant, riveting plot and wonderfully written. It had everything a reader could ask for, and so much more! Thank you for a great story that was well researched and just a fantastically enjoyable read :) To really see Hogan in the sky again was just wonderful and I loved his dialogue as well, you wrote him perfectly.

Slak

PS I have one question, in absolutely no way a criticism, the fact that I'm asking merely shows how captivated I am by the story. When Hogan smashed his watch to stop the clock running, why didn't he just look at the time? Unless he was afraid he would forget it I suppose being in the state he was in... Id buy that!
Seiberwing chapter 16 . 9/16/2008
That was utterly fantastic. I was on the edge of my seat during the flight scenes.

You've really captured the characters' voices and personalities, but at the same time you've given a lighthearted show a far more serious tone and made it /work/.
Cristy chapter 16 . 8/15/2008
I've only just got the chance to read this through and thoroughly enjoyed it! And having Bailey make an appearance made it doubly enjoyable! :)

Nicely done - excellent attention to detail, which has come to be your trademark, and some heart-stopping moments that kept it exciting. Thanks for posting this! Away now to read your new story. :)
GSJessica chapter 16 . 7/22/2008
I didn't realize it was the ending until I saw another review saying so. I missed having the redux scene with Burkhalter. But, actually, you wrapped all the plot elements.

I did like Klink in the last scene.
scc1fan chapter 16 . 7/9/2008
Awesome, awesome ending! Fantastic...though I'm awfully sorry to see it end. You can appease me by starting a new one! :)

But for this one-*hands over basket of cookies* For you, my dear. Great job!

Jillian chapter 16 . 7/8/2008
I love the excuses Hogan and his men came up with. The story is excellently written, as always, but the ending seems a little abrupt. The scene just fills unfinished, maybe because the last bit is dialogue, or maybe because it's the kind of dialogue Klink would have a response to, even if it's just a "Hogan! Diss-mised" or something. Or maybe an epilogue could help.
El Gringo Loco chapter 16 . 7/6/2008
An excellent chapter that ties things together. But the story feels like a small epilogue would be in order. Still it was an excellent story. Thank you for sharing it with us.
