of course, what better way to get Ginny and harry together than by killing off Harry's current girl? now Ginny is going to do what, use Harry's moment of weakness to insert herself back into his life? going to accidentally start bumping into him, falling asleep on the couch together?

I can't say I like either Rachel or Ginny for Harry. Unless there are other stories of yours where this Rachel makes an appearance, where her character is more fleshed out, this whole story just seems like a poor attempt to have a side girl for harry while Ginny gets her shit together.

considering that Rachel and harry have been dating for what seems to be almost an entire year, I'd find it extremely odd if they've not progressed past heavy petting. With that said, if this ends up being Harry/Ginny it will just be a forced pairing. their time together in all is barely enough to qualify as a relationship, not to mention a waste of character development for Rachel.

So stupid, having everyone blame Harry. Calling him a stupid boy, this claim of "Harry Logic". I'm guessing that the author is a female who believes it's perfectly acceptable to play manipulative mind games on males.

Honestly, I just find Harry to be far too callous and cruel. It’s only been a little over a year from the looks of it, he would’ve mourned Arthur and Molly’s deaths. He loved them very much, he knows the pain of loss and wouldn’t have acted like that towards Ginny. It’s very out of character, I can’t see him changing that drastically. It seems to have gone from having leaving to protect them as he says in his note, to him running away which isn’t Harry like at all. Harry wouldn’t have run away, he’s anything but a coward, and he definitely wouldn’t have acted towards Remus as he did. It’s seems now as if they all drove him away by being horrible, rather than him leaving. It doesn’t make any sense and he’s so out of character it makes the story unreadable.

Great so far except for the death of Racheal, it's obvious they are going to get back together which is very WRONG seeing how she treated him to make him leave then drag him back to war and get his fiancee killed. Killing her off ruined the story as you had a great perfect OC fot Harry who was a mix between Hermione and Ginny in some ways.

Love the Metallica references.

Can tell from story description he gets back with Ginny which kinda sucks, be better if he met someone else and got with them instead. Playing hard to get or saying what she did in fics always seems to end up with them getting together anyways, would be nice for a fic where in this case Ginny is upset and sorry but by the time she finds Harry hes happy with someone else and he doesn't get back with Ginny. That would show that playing hard to get or even doing what Ginny did has real consequences and she as the aggressor does not get her happy ending with Harry.

Cannon Dumbledore planned Harry's sucicde via martyr and he didn't want Harry to win. His whole excuse as a normal childhood was bullshit, as soon as Harry started 1st year he could of easily told Harry with his fame he should be taking extra defense lessons then after the fight over the stone point out with Tom still around and still want him dead as reason for lessons.

Dumbledore could of made it a LOT easier for Harry during book 4 using the GoF. He could of pulled Harry aside explain how the GoF works then tell Harry he plans to out Tom's name in as an extra school and when it comes out he will call Harry's name instead then Harry does the first task and with Tom not showing up he will loose his magic. That would make a good 4th year fic actually.

I liked this story, but was sad that Rachel died and that it was barely two weeks past her death and Ginny was already trying to make Harry get back with her. Granted I knew it was going to be a Hinny pairing in the end, but it just seemed like they got back together a little sooner than I would expect someone that is legit grieving the loss of the woman they wanted to marry.

But this was a good story.
