Reviews for Out of the Blue
Guest chapter 3 . 1/4
If Aaron Rivers is “the key”, why doesn’t she bother to stick around to meet him?
Kedzie chapter 4 . 9/10/2019
Okay, names... so Aaron equals Aran and Randy is Thranduil, Leif is Legolas, Linda is Nestalindë, Hal is Haldir, his brothers are Rúmil and Orophin. Glenn is Galion, Felice/Felicia is Lalaithiel, Orrie is Oropher. But where does Rivers come from? Woods or Hill or something like those would make more sense to me.
Honoria Granger chapter 3 . 8/1/2019
What are the blue Cirth that Thranduil has tattooed heart? I don’t remember them from any of the other Not Fade Away stories. I’m guessing his family’s names? (It’s me, Honoria, I’m just not signed in...)
LuteofLorien chapter 1 . 9/4/2018
Fanfiction is so, so full of people tormenting Legolas (including myself, I admit my guilt). For once, you have given him a loving family, an incredible home and just a lazy Saturday morning with his wife and kid. No one deserves it more. An utter joy to read, thank you. (And I'm sure Legolas thanks you too!)
Tamuril2 chapter 4 . 4/5/2015
Tam: *blinks* Wow...this is...wow.
Aragorn: *chuckles* That good?
Tam: *grins* Yep!
Aragorn: *raises an eyebrow* Going to review then?
Tam: *frowns* I am reviewing.
Aragorn: *shakes his head sadly* In a more...traditional...way?
Tam: *pouts* But that's so boring.
Aragorn: *sighs* It might be best to wean Jael into your craziness.
Tam: *smirks* Kinda a bit late for that, don'tcha think?
Aragorn: *groans* I give up.
Tam: *laughs* I thought you'd never see the light. *skips off to review*
Aragorn: *peers over at Jael* You're problem now. Good luck.

1) Nieriel Raina mentioned you to me after I told her I loved the concept of Thranduil in modern times. And boy am I glad she did. This is amazing. Your writing style is so smooth and your character portrayals captivating. *bows low* Hannon le for this.

2) I think I've got all the "fake" names down. Hal is Haldir, right? Jane, you lucky, lucky woman. And Aaron is Thranduil. I knew he was faking his identity when the little boy (forget his name right now) called him an elvish name. I didn't look said name up, but I'm almost positive that it's the elvish for grandfather. Everyone else was a mystery to me though. Where there anymore "hints" in there?

3) At one end of the spectrum I felt bad that Jane had to do this, but then I paused and thought "Who'm I kidding? She got to see Thranduil, elves, and eat lambis bread (right?). SHe's the luckiest woman EVER!" Yep, pretty much how it went down.

All in all, a great story. I'm off to read more of your stuff now.

17seconds chapter 4 . 3/9/2014
Amazing! The first modern-day fanfic I've read that is actually realistic and well-written. I thought your idea of a social worker who believed Galen was being negated was really creative. I hope you plan to continue this arc. I think it would be really interesting to read about someone who does betray the elves to Duncan and Fizhugh in some way.
Great story. Please write more.
tadah2 chapter 4 . 1/30/2014
This and its siblings are nearly perfect. If you don't do this for a living, then I hope you save kittens or are a Supreme Court justice, because there are few things that I find worthy of taking someone with your talent out of the pool for us to enjoy.

Wow.
quaff chapter 4 . 7/10/2013
Another lovely story. Thank you for writing them.
seafarer chapter 4 . 5/17/2013
Oh my goodness. I have been looking for this story since I first read it, and on an off-chance found it when I read your Titanic cross-over. (Terrific work on that, by the way.) I first read it in 2011, and up until then the idea of stories about the Eldar still being around now just irked me. I don't remember why I read this fic, but it opened up a whole world of possibilities to me. You wrote this so well and...authentically. It's just how you'd imagine the Eldar would still live if they were 'modern.' (As if Elves could ever be 'modern'.) Sorry. I'm rambling. Anyways, thank you so much for writing this. I'm so excited that I found you.
Larisya chapter 4 . 4/14/2013
Wait, so he just invited her? I think?
Glory Bee chapter 1 . 2/16/2012
Fabulous and though parts made me weep I laughed out loud at the thought of Thranduil waxing his legs lol
Song in the woods chapter 4 . 11/29/2009
I have taken your advice and am reading the sequels. I hope you come back and write more of these, although I must say I love your other stories also.
Destined Darkness chapter 4 . 7/23/2009
aw i was wondering who she would hook up wif i mean Maripossa hooked up wif Glenn, lol i love this sotry verse, i mean seriously it rocks i kinda envy you for being such a great writer, lol smiles guiltyly
Blume chapter 4 . 2/21/2009
Oh I definetely love this more than I did Not Fade Away: Posey sounded a little too sweet for me, Too candid, to naive, maybe even a little Mary Sue'ish to me, but Jane is more my 'tough lady, life has made me so' type, and I like it! ;

Also, I'm a big fan of Haldir, so I kinda like you pairing him up with ANYONE! and it loosk more causal than Galion's sudden revelation of undying love anyway...

But focusing on this: Addign Oropher is GREAT! (cause that was Oropher right?) I didn't imagine he crossed the sea too... hoped, but not confirmed 'til now.

And Galen's childhood is awesome, I want to live with a family like that... with that family all right!
Greensleeves the Great chapter 4 . 11/7/2008
Who's 'Orrie'?

I really, really loved this story, but I think it would have been even funnier if the social worker had been an interfering busybody determined to find fault with the Elves.

I liked Thranduil's name, Aaron Rivers, good pun.

Cheers,

Greensleeves
