Firstly, excellent work, Zack's characterization is very very good the best I have read till now. I liked your way of approaching Iraq and its emotional consequences.

But I must confess that what I liked the most is knowing that I am not the only one who thinks that Cam and Zack would do a very interesting couple.

Ok, two things on your characterisation that you have to know. One, I like how you went with Zach instead of the conventional BB. Two, I believe you captured Zach perfectly. We all have a character to relate to, someone we can really get into the head of. We both know that you can clearly hear Angela in your head, but I think Zach suits you pretty well too. Or maybe it is the fact that there are so few well-written Zach fics out there that makes yours really stand out. What am I saying - yours stands out anyway! Ok, I'm rambling. Moving on...

I liked the Pi thing when you emailed this to me and I still like it. It feels very much like Zach. Eek, we're drifting off to characterisation again!

I think it's interesting how you wove the pig and the wood chipper in with other more gruesome memories. At the time it seemed like a fun experiment, but when you combine that memory with images from Iraq and (God forbid) Epp's wife's head (I'll definitely keep an eye out for that scene if I ever find a quiet moment to watch some Bones) it gets this bitter taste. Not sure if what I meant came across there...Oh well.

I also like how had Zach go from Michigan to the lab. He loves it there, no matter how much he loves home. It's nice to see how close he feels to Angela and Hodgins. They truly are his friends, his compadres, his friends in crime. And the twist with Cam? Love it!

The Perfect Combination is definitely an interesting take on the challenge. Well, in my books anyway. We'll see how the judges feel about this. I wish you good luck with the challenge!
