Uhm the Uchiha clan were around before the Hyuuga as they were , along with the Senju, the two founding clans of Konoha. They are also the descendants of Indra Ototsuki one of the two sons of Hagoromo Ototsuki, also known as the Rikudo Sennin, the Sage of the Six Paths nd the first God of Shinobi so if anything the Byakugan may have been from the descendants of Hamura Ototsuki, Hagoromo's brother or a branch of fro the Uchiha
