I'm not sure how often I've read this story but I still love it with all my heart. I like the open ending with the nice imagery - with Jenny and Gibbs, I really feel their journey is their destination.

Oooohh, I love this ending. I'm glad it didn't turn out as angsty, because it already hurt reading through this chapter, especially when Jenny was alone in the house and wanted Gibbs but didn't wish to call him. Hurts in a good way, of course. It reminds me of that conversation in S5 (Lost and Found, I think) when she said once she'd have asked him to stay and wouldn't have accepted no for an answer. Too much has happened between them, but there's always this huge ache of "what if".

Yeah, I like the ending. I like the little glimmer of hope there.

Your angsty stories are gold! Jam packed with underlying emotions, a well balanced will they won't they and a resolution that feels true to the show no matter how much one wishes it they had made some steps in their relationship before the end. Fabulous writing as ever!

Great story. You write the screwed up Jen/Jethro dynamic really well. Despite the fact that I'm a sucker for a traditional, sappy, happy ending, I'm impressed by the fact that your story can drop between almost any two episodes of the show without throwing off canon. Nicely done. It was also great to read a Jen/Jethro piece that included the rest of the gang in a meaningful way. Thank you for a great read!

I read through this entire fic in pretty much one sitting - it was fantastic! I love good case fics that balance an awesome amount of ship, and this one didn't disappoint in any areas! Even the ending, while not happy, was the perfect way to finish. Absolutely loved this fic :D

I am so sorry I haven't reviewed this! I love this story, the plot line is intriguing, it's well-written and has a believable Jibbs storyline which is always refreshing. It's just... it's great (I know that sounds anti-climatic but it's all I can think of at the moment.)

Excellent story with a strong plot and wonderful characters. I really liked that you made Jen out as a fighter. It has to be in her background, but so often it is overlooked. Beautiful job.

The Gibbs/Jen romance was lovely. It was true to form and broke my heart at the end.
