Marija Magdalena chapter 6 . 10/9/2009 At first I thought I'd review every chapter separately, but then I realized that you'd get 6 e-mails that said a something like: "OMG, this is so cute" and I thought that would annoy you very, very much, lol. That is way, I'm gonna say one big: "OMG, THIS IS SO CUTE" :D Thank you so much for being so amazing and making an awful day so much better. There's no one that can make me smile so much. :) |

CarolinaDawn chapter 6 . 1/2/2008 You know, I continue to be amazed every time I read this story. It was beautifully written, with such feeling and a true sense of who the characters are, including Emma whom you made up on your own. I loved snapshot 4 where Emma's love of the ocean and discovering what lies underneath is brought out, so much like her father. And of course I loved Afternoon Delight, the sensuousness of it, but mostly I love how you tied the story all up at the end. Full Circle. From the birth of Emma, to her Kindergarten graduation and upcoming birth of their second child. I bow to the greatness of people who I think truely have the gift of being able to write. And you, my dear, are one of them. |
Windy City Dreamer chapter 6 . 7/27/2007 Damn you. You put a lump in my throat. It may sound weird, but I'm glad I missed when you first posted this, because it was just what I needed today. My lil bro graduated kindergarten last year so I was right there with Cal & Eric, even had a knot in my stomach. It was well-written, emotions were wonderfully captured. Great story, one of the best I've read in a while. |
Janet chapter 6 . 7/20/2007 Loved it, so sweet. Curious to know what new baby delko might be though. |

randomwriting chapter 6 . 7/19/2007 What a great way to cap off a very sweet story. Very nicely done. I liked the way you tied in the photographs, but truly what stood out was the way you captured the (often bittersweet) continuing passage of time. It does always feel like "just yeaterday". And isn't this the truth... 'It seemed as soon as the moment had begun, it was already over.' I loved this line, it made for a nice visual. 'It seemed like only yesterday that they were walking their daughter down the never-ending hallway for her first day of kindergarten.' Few times in life does the 'hallway' ever seem "never-ending", but the times that do stand out for a lifetime. I loved the ending, but especially the last lines. It's how I can imagine Eric thinking about his life. 'To Eric, it was days like today that made even the bad days good. It was days like today that made his life perfect.' And I really loved the quote at the end. :) Well done! |
