I loved this story! I just wish John could have let his boys and himself be normal a bit longer! I was super excited to learn about the sequel! I can’t wait to read Camp sunshine!

This story is Amazing so far! I am loving every aspect of it and I don’t normally read long term illness fics.

I just love this story. I've read it often over the years. I'll think of it now and again and find myself reading it anew. It's like visiting an old friend. The story is thoughtful and handled with care. The characters are complicated and dear. It's just wonderful. Thank you for writing this story and beginning the next. Well done.

Best thing I have read in my entire life.

Amazing story. Since I started with fanfiction almost all the stories i read always had happy endings where the dude got to stay with the girl or where the main character is like this perfect person that made no mistakes, and the thing about this story is that is so real and so simple, i mean, it's about diabetes and how dean and the winchesters cope with it, it's not even a big or super complex plot, but still this 200k words are amazing, in a long time a story had not get through me like this. Things like friendship, family love and even disappointment (in john) rushed through my body while I scrolled intro the story. I really hope that in these 7 years that had passed since 2008 you keep writing these amazing stories.
Also about the end *spoiler* it may not be a happy ond where dean could go to MIT or that they could stay in that town with Bobby, but if we look to the bigger picture, in the end they made real friends, strenghten their relationship with bobby, dean realises that hunting was not all in life and they actually had some touchy moments with john, so, did they really end up loosing? In my oppinion, not. And that is the warm feeling that I ended up with when I finished the story.

I'm only about half done, and I know you're not posting anymore, but I had to stop and leave a review.

I'm not quite sure how I stumbled on your story. Pre-series and AU aren't my thing, but you had me hooked from the beginning. It's been a LONG time since I stayed up half the night reading a fic because I just couldn't put it down. Your writing is excellent - you tell the story fully but without getting in your own way, if that makes any sense. I love the way you're shaping the characters. And I can't wait to see how Dean's "welcome" goes... ;-)

I read your author's note on your bio, and I totally get it. I stopped writing in my own fandom (NCIS) when I couldn't stand watching the show anymore because of what they'd done to the characters. That said, I hope you're still writing somewhere, no matter what it is. You're a talented storyteller!

Loving the story!

Almost a year ago a good friend of mine passed away after severe complications with her type 2 diabetes. She got the flu and within 6 hours of entering the hospital she was pronounced dead :( she was only 14 to top it off. I really like this story though. You capture everything very well

This story made me cry, and not just once too :( It's a touching read, I felt like I could really relate to the Winchesters and nearly everyone else in the story. I love this :)

This story is amazing! It's one of the longest fanfic I've read, but I couldn't stop until I finished it in like two days! Awsome work, and I loved your portrait of Dean

It was a lovely story! I know you haven't been on in a LONG time, but I've read this story as well as Camp Sunshine... Maybe you could finish it... anyway, it was well written, but the ending was a little much. I knew it was going to end that way before I read it, but maybe it would've been nice if Dean could finally have a normal life.
