Mr pancake800 chapter 29 . 4/22
Feels bad man
REGIKING chapter 29 . 11/17/2019
Beautiful, terrible story. An amazing ride the whole through, and I am both overjoyed that the terrible night is over, and saddened that a magnificent tale has ended.
Natman717 chapter 29 . 9/4/2017
Oh damn man. This is an am;axing story! I see you haven't updated in a long time, and i highly doubt that you even see FF stuff anymore but i have to say it. This is probably the single best Halo FF out there it is so original and so interesting it never gets old. I hope that you do see this so that you can really understand that even after you have stoped writing that you still make a difference, THANK YOU! *side note* hell i don't even know if you are alive, so if you are yay!
Natman717 chapter 2 . 8/31/2017
I loved that pep talk good work!
Guest chapter 1 . 5/12/2017
Definitely one of the greatest stories I've ever read. It's a story about comradery, brotherhood and what it means to be a soldier. It's a story about war and the unbilievable sufference it carries. It's a story about what war does to a soldier's mind and not only his body. I loved every bit of it but it's such a pity that it didn't have that last 30th chapter. Rest in peace Sierra Squad. blazaboi chapter 2 . 6/3/2016
i've never actually understood why some soldier's put notches on there weapons not only are they pointlessly damaging there equipment you can't make a notch on a mission for obvious reasons and i doubt after a mission you would remember how many you killed. very confusing
NotUrAverageBrony chapter 1 . 12/10/2015
Honestly I don't think this is bad I love it although I don't care about grammar and spellings, I care about the vocabulary, detail, characterisation and the plot and it looks brilliant so far
cannonfodder43 chapter 29 . 3/22/2015
Well, I have read through this recently and I have to say that while it is not the best I have read. It is very good. This ending is getting very depressing and considering everything that was going on it makes sense. I will be waiting patiently for more and will move on to your other stories in the mean time.

Electromotive Force chapter 25 . 4/15/2014
OMG, she dropped a Hadoken! Nice.

I liked the one-on-one fight scene with the Elite. Montag is definitely emerging as one of those unsung heroes by now. The others go on largely oblivious of his efforts and just how critical they are at times. If not for Montag's intervention and self-imposed autonomy (albeit at a great consequence to himself every time), I'm sure the squad and possibly the whole unit would've been up $hit's creek a while back and with no paddle.

Funny how Montag dreams about earlier days when ordering subordinates around, just in time for the crew in the present tense to connect the dots and realize he's now in charge. Funny to now see some of their callousness after the fact. The whole chapter was very cerebral, probably more so than all the others before it.

Good work.

Electromotive Force chapter 24 . 3/15/2014
Yeah, I kinda shot that Elite and it might have a grudge against me, lol. Nice.

Ah, you know I am really liking Montag. When he was talking about how he likes to kills Jackals with slow pleasure rather than gunning them down, it made me laugh.

Flying grenade-eels! Ahhh!

The most interesting part to me these last two chapters was the interplay between Montag and Sherman. Such moral dilemmas. Seeing as how Montag is so dang useful, it just compounds the dilemma even more, and complicates it even more. Nice chappy.
EqualInTheEyesOfTheReaper chapter 16 . 1/13/2014
You know, I've checked this story every day for almost a year and seven months waiting for the final update; however, I'll keep on waiting so take your time... not too much though.
Electromotive Force chapter 22 . 7/7/2013
It's been so long since I last reviewed...

One thing I must say is that the Siberia sequences are brilliant. To me, it's becoming a side-story in its own right. I'm sure it's intended to paint a better picture of Montag while we're engrossed in the ringworld campaign, and it does this brilliantly. Just the depth of the Siberia installments, though, is quite interesting. It's no longer just an addendum to Montag for me, but also a very imaginative and believable stab at an interstellar human empire with a vast amount of intricacies and possibilities. This chapter especially made me realize the potential that was/is overlooked by Bungie/343i. Granted, they've got a certain Master Chief to cover, but thankfully we have fan-authors who make this universe as interesting in their own ways! I just needed to say all that, because this story with all its elements in play does a wonderful job at balancing the in-the-moment action with the broader scope of the plot you're steadily introducing. The seemingly random and colorful [yet sometimes grim] exploits on the ringworld are balanced by this grey cloud (with the silver lining) that is Montag's past.

BTW, I caught two RvB plugs in this chapter. Nicely done. : )

TimeForced chapter 29 . 3/24/2013
Good shit. Looks at the Halo games from the perspective of a career soldier with serious psychological problems and quite the bloody history.
I think the best part about your story is the way that so much of what Montag does makes complete sense. Even the whole "killing prisoners" part is understandable, if still fucked up.
So, this was fun to read and I can't wait to see the close out ending, which will probably be very cool.
Broadsword Actual chapter 29 . 1/9/2013
Been following this story since the fifth chapter, you've done a hell of a good job. Brings tears to my eyes thinking of the end.
