I appreciate how Ed kind of hedges in the beginning, then drops it increasingly. Interesting idea and wonderful execution, this was so good!

I love that last line. LOVE IT. I love it so much, in fact, that I want to use it in a piece of writing. It's particularly inspiring. But don't worry, I'll let you know if I ever do. for now, it's just a random thought in my head.

This was pretty cathartic to read in a way-not cathartic for me, but in my mental understanding of Ed, if that makes sense. Well written. And good on Erich for not losing his head and being open and understanding for a lost soul.

Mm... Me being catholic, I noticed some mistakes. One being Ed's penance. Depending on what the sin was and the severity of that sin, the priest might tell them to recite the Hail Mary or Our Father a couple times, and they might be told to go and do something good (I don't know how else to put it). I speak from experience. I'm not too sure what Ed's penance would be, but there might have been more to it, still including the prayers.
Another thing, most confessions (not all though) are done face to face. I can understand Ed's reasoning for choosing a screened confession, even I got nervous when going to confession (but I wasn't givien a choice, had to do it face to face). I found it easier face to face though. And some confessionals don't have the screen.
Please don't take this the wrong way. I really did enjoy the story, it was good. (I wouldn't go off movies though, some tend to be incorrect. But again, not all.)

A story like this just makes me want I hug you for being such an awesome writer! Theemoi

Totally loved this, especially the ending sentence, because it was sooo Edward like. And I love Ed, how you portrayed his character, how you lined up the sins. I don't know, it was all very well done! i loved it, thank you for such a unique Roy/Ed story!

I just read your story and I believe that it is one of the most heartfelt things I have read in a long time. it has alot of quality and says alot about your ability as a writer.
