I know this was a long-ago-asked question, but the reason Booth is a Steelers fan is because David Boreanaz was a ball boy for the Steelers when he was young. He's still an Eagles fan (He was raised in Philly) and a Buffalo Bills fan (he was born in Buffalo) but he also loves his Steelers.

Booth, as they've long-ago established, is from Philly.

I'd really like to see their trip to Philadelphia...Everyone has such different views of Booth's parents and with the half-conversation you showed here with Booth's father...I would really like to see your characterization of them.

That was really good! I'm not a big football fan, but almost everyone I know loves it. LOL Anyway, I liked that it was something domestic instead of a case. That's always a nice change. I live about an hour away from Pittsburgh, so most everyone around here are Steelers fans. Anyway, just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed reading this. Happy Holidays!

Booth is a Steelers fan because he is not from Philie. He made a reffrence to it in one of his convos with Dr. Wyatt. Great story. I love with your Brennan!

When I first read the bit about his team being the Thiefs I thought it was a typo meant to be the Chiefs, the I read the next line...the Steelers! Very typical Bones I was ROFLMAO! It was so funny. Great chapter, I love these two. BTW I'm a die hard Buffalo Bills fan.

Great post. I think you handled Bones' POV well... with the right balance of emotion and intellect. And I liked the idea that Bones is a football fan.

Packer fan here (raises hand) but I do remember the Bears of '85/'86 and the Super Bowl Shuffle, Sweetness Walter Payton and William "the Refridgerator" Perry. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. And even though I'm a Packer's fan, I think I might be going for the Bears this year since I went to their home opener. Too bad Bones couldn't bring me to Miami with her:)

Anyway, back to the story... I really liked the phone call with Booth and his dad at the end, too.

I hope you continue this story. I guess if you write about the super bowl trip, you might have to wait until the super bowl actually happens, but it would be a good update to read.

well, it's not uncommon to like an out-of-area team better than local teams. i, for one, am an Eagles fan, but i'm from Michigan, and as you know, we have a plethora of teams. Michigan, Michigan State, [god forbid] the Lions, as well as some other not so well known teams like the bucs from Grand Valley State, and the Lakers form Lake Superior State. and of corse, my Alma Mader team, to whom my high school football loyalty lies. so, no it's not uncommon to be from phillie and like a pittsburgh team.

that's just my thoughts on the matter.

:) So cute. Very in-character too. I liked it anyway. I, being English, have no idea about American sport or the superbowl (we play football over here, yes that's right, it's called football not soccer). I like the forever kind of feeling.
