It took me two reading of this fic to understand it...good one, nonetheless. My brain process was a little slow, I guess. You did a good job.

Oh man! _ I love how Light and L were completely overthinking the thermostat and throwing around statistics and random speculations, and then Matsuda walks in and just *works* the thing. I could just imagine the look on his face, like 'Has all the sugar and the handcuffs rotted your brains?'

(Okay, I just realized that that last part could've been misconstrued. XD)

I also liked how the story was funny, in a bittersweet sort of way. It's a very L-and-Light moment. Good job!

I can actually relate to the situation. i'm in the top 5 for every class but when it comes to the simple things i'm a complete dunce. L and Light are the coolest.

*stifles a laugh* Man, two geniuses and they can't figure out the thermostat. Do they push doors labeled 'pull', too? XD Ah, a classic example of intellect being bested by devilish houshold appliances... and a normal detective. If I were Matsuda, I wouldn't let them forget this... *grins evilly*

Maybe it's that they're TOO smart. I mean, most appliances are designed so that even an idiot can use them... maybe they just try to look at the thing from too many angles, instead of taking some things for granted like any other (normal) person would. Hahahah... *cries with laughter*

Though really, I empathize with them. My thermostat is absolutely diabolical. It randomly goes up or down 3 degrees when you set it to 19, and such stuff. XD

I thoroughly enjoyed it. You captured their characters perfectly. And this had to be my favorite line:
