Beautiful story, heart-tearing (word probably doesn't exist - I'm French - but you get the idea). Excellent choice to speak about life and death...

Lovely, but horribly sad. It brought me to tears. I wish Halbarad did not die - he deserved a happy life with his children and wife. But he died an honorable death, on the battlefield fighting for his friend. He fell where he was meant to die.

I wish he could return home, joyful, smiling, and share the new era with his wife and familu. But he died, and such are the ways of life. Rest in peace Halbarad. He will not be forgotten.

I loved this. As in, jaw-dropping love. Plus, it focused on an entirely-believable (OC? I think?) character, so I can add it to my C2. It was beautifully written and steered clear of all the typical Hollywood scenes to tell a real story instead.

I was almost in tears. Scrap that, I am in tears. That was so heartfelt and loving! It was beautiful. the anguish that you displayed was gripping. Well done.

I hate that Halbarad has to die. :'( He is quickly becoming one of my favorite LotR characters. I liked the ending [the last paragraph] of this story, it was perfect.

Oh god, you break my heart with such lovely stories. I know your stories feature Halbarad and his son at times and I just love how you describe their relationship; This was so well written, i just love it.
