Ann chapter 2 . 7/25/2017 Benkai! I was wondering if he'd show up in this au again. And he's kind of like and inside eye in the mountain. He can definitely report to the clan what they know/suspect about Kenshin and that is pretty important to know on top of the scare Megumi had. Lol, humans aren't the only humanoid creatures native to earth. Not everything is aliens. |
TOSoldtimer chapter 5 . 6/30/2015 Neat story, but a little hard to follow the changing POVs. I really liked Hannibal, Daniel and Kenshin. I've really been enjoying the whole Urban Legends story cycle. Thanks for a series of great reads. |
the Dah chapter 5 . 1/19/2013 I am always amazed when I read your fics. Your style is elaborate, carefully crafted and the flow and slang used is pure genius... all in all it always makes me read the fics multiple times. With a week or two between readings. Because that is the joy in reading something really good. You get something new out of the story everytime you read it. The Urban Legends verse is something I particularly enjoy, because at first I absolutely didn't get it. Used to drive me crazy. I was so stumped while reading the stories in the verse at first, that I developed bad case of googling everything I didn't get - such as fandoms I have never heard of (Airwolf, Godzilla, Hannibal King.. Gargoyles etc.) So a lot of google usage here. But I really liked your portrayal of Kenshin and O'Neil. Now after reading the verse through multiple times and still getting more out of each read, I am starting to enjoy myself. And with that comes the weird desire to see UL Kenshin and O'Neil needing to work together ofworld (with Kenshin being the resident heart-reader expert... Kenshin on space-ship would be awesome especially because the poor guy is scared stiff even being on car.) The there is wondering what would happen if SG-1 ever met Hiko.. oh the ideas.. But anyways, in every story you write of Kenshin, you find out nice, new and refreshing ways to portrayal his character, and that is really good to see. And rare. Don't forget rare. So, just wanted to give you some compliments. |
Tracey Claybon chapter 1 . 1/17/2013 I hope that you will do a Marvel-cinematic integration of the Urban Legends world with this - I love the series and bet it'd be a cool mashup! (of course I want to see more of the series, too! :)) |
BiblioMatsuri chapter 5 . 9/30/2012 *claps* UL awesomeness. |
Kaosdrachen chapter 5 . 4/20/2012 Hi! I've been digging through your archives and reading most of it lately. You're /incredibly/ good, and I'm loving the Urban Legends universe mashup you're making. I've even started watching Stargate SG-1 recently just so I'd understand some of your references better. *really* hope you'll revisit this 'verse sometime. One minor nitpick in this particular chapter of this particular story, though: If Carlos Hathcock had 93 confirmed kills during the three years he was in Vietnam, he is /not/ the greatest sniper of all time - that honor goes to Simo Häyhä, who racked up 500 confirmed kills in less than 100 days during the Winter War between the Soviet Union and Finland. You can find the story both on wikipedia and on badassoftheweek dot com slash |
Mischievious Kitsune chapter 5 . 1/25/2012 If you ever continue this have you ever wondered how SG-1, Kenshin and them would react to Edward Elric and Truth from Fullmetal Alchemist? Huh just a thought what with how SG-1 travels world to world. Love your writing! |
Susan M. M chapter 1 . 10/15/2010 All right! Someone who remembers Hannibal King and likes him as much as I do. More importantly, someone who writes his dialogue correctly! Don't know whether I should read the next chapter next, or go back and read the previous stories, but I'm definitely reading more. (Good job on Sam, too.) |
kirallie chapter 4 . 6/12/2009 Great work! Wish it was longer! |
wheresmybook chapter 5 . 4/19/2009 I don't even know who hannibal is, but i already like him. I am a bit miffed about the whole jack/sam relationship being called into question by the zatarc detecting technology being in the hands of the Tok'ra. Yes, that scenario is plausible, but it sort of ignores "Beneath the Surface," when SG-1 had their memories wiped and Jack and Sam were definetly in serious "like" with each other. |
Dybael chapter 2 . 1/7/2009 "...PCR, ELISA, and the whole rest of the alphabet" Arrgh, there's a special place in hell reserved for ELISA - gone through that one several times to measure IgG/IgM for Lyme. And as my IV/IG treatment plans are currently floating in Insurance Limbo, I feel special hatred for Extra-Important blood tests that do absolutely nothing. ... okay, I believe I made my "medical alphabet soup is frustrating" point clearly enough. Back to regularly scheduled reviews. |
Dybael chapter 5 . 12/16/2008 "O'Neill gave me another Look, this one of the dragon with knight and can opener variety." As in, "I have this problem in front of me, and a possible solution to it, and applying the solution to the problem is going to be simple, and easy, and probably involve decapitation"? Man, that's one eloquent Look. I wish I knew how to glare that well. |
jainga chapter 5 . 11/8/2008 I was wondering if anyone else had cought on to the 2nd-class treatment of the scientists. It was the one thing about the show that drove me nuts. Even SG-1 never really trusted Daniel's judgment about a culture until they had no other choice. And the rest of the scientists were basically kept in a concentration camp...complete with armed guards and the certainty that if you left something bad would happen. The SGC may have had the excuse of NID kidnappings to keep the science dept. involved, but a cage is still a cage no matter the reason for the bars. Love how you protray all the diffrent shows in this series. You keep everybody in character, and explain enough about them that nobody has to be conversant with all of them to keep up with your storyline. Can't wait to see what you have happening next. Thanks for the entertainment! Good luck with future plot bunnies! |
exileena chapter 5 . 10/14/2008 Don't suppose you'll be heading back in UL and Sg1 territory anytime soon. I just reread this story again and realized I hadn't reviewed it way back. Loved the introduction of Hannibal King. The whole Ancients experimentation, Himura, Daniel plot line is something unique and great out there. I'd love to see what the Asgard made of Himura and vise versa. The snark, histories, dialogue and new characters while keeping pace with the old characters - and new/old characters - make for this being in my top three crossover universes. Keep up with the great writing, even when I can't get into the pure anime crossovers. |
skabs chapter 5 . 8/13/2008 i LOVE King... of course, that's not going to save him when Sam finds out he lied to her... or edged around the truth... dhampire/vampire... yeah... of course... my favorite King line, "Did you try the lobby?" wouldn't work in this story, but can i ask for more King/Sam screen time? |
