Actually, I hesitated when I saw the pairing but good job in making me actually like the two after reading this. Sometimes I forgot about the Rookie 9 girls being kunoichis and if the 4th ninja ww didn’t happened, this could’ve been their reality.

Genma was a nice pick. You made them complement each other nicely. You had it right when having him stressed how he isn’t Ino’s sensei which makes sense that he is the perfect person to be her handler. I can see how it was fitting to have them fall in with each other although they initially did it to ‘prepare’ her. Ah! Such a tragic story but beautifully written in telling Ino’s story to being a deadly Kunoichi through Genma’s eyes. Love this!

The rapid fire way in which the points are driven in just before the Mission has the right amount of callousness and distance to deal with what is going on but reflects a softer side of Gemma at times to that softens us to his "training" techniques. I must say, the way the layers of the story are revealed work well. Thanks for sharing!

i really loved this story even though there wasn't romance in between them... but I feel that there is a potential for a romance only if you explored more... I know this is an odd pairing but damn, you did a good job in this story.
