VictoriaAngel chapter 1 . 8/23/2012 Wow. This fits in with my (canon) interpretation of Millie Bulstrode. I always saw her as lacking in confidence and wanting to be part of the pure-blood slytherin group headed by Draco Malfoy. Although it is not stated in canon, because she is half-blood, I am sure that Millicent would be against pure-blood supremacy. I can see that Snape - hated universally during his headship by Gryffindors, Hufflepuffs and most of Ravenclaw; not to mention the staff and allies of the Order - would be in need of spies and allies of his own so he could run the school easily. I'm not talking about wanting a select group of students to grass up their own or from other houses in order to be totured by the Carrows and their helpers (aka Crabbe - Goyle just sounds too much of a coward in the books and far to loyal to Draco). I'm talking about studenmts who would have locations of the muggleborns Snape helped keep in hiding or know of certain operations by the death eaters. I also can see that he would need students like Millie and Tracey Davis (an intellectual loner who is an a very very secret relationship with Theo Nott. She is a half-blood slytherin and hence would likely reject notions of pure-blood supremacy) to help him out so he used them as undercover spies. Snape, as a spy and head of slytherin House, would have known which students could be of assistence, especially in the case that he was assassinated by either side (a good slytherin would plan such things after all). Alicia Spades chapter 1 . 1/12/2012 I've never read a fic from Millicent's point of view before. Brilliantly written! |
Silver Sailor Ganymede chapter 1 . 2/6/2010 I enjoyed reading this story. It's not often that you see stories that really explore Millicent as a character. I really liked the tone you used in this; it shows just how lacking in confidence Millicent is. |
Vera Rozalsky chapter 1 . 12/24/2009 OK, this is her. This is the real Millicent Bulstrode. Yes. I will know her if I meet her on the street or talk to her on the telephone. You have permanently, irrevocably changed the way I think about this character. I have my own ideas about what she really did at the Battle of Hogwarts, and it's mostly thanks to this story. Excellent, excellent work. |
APpLeBun chapter 1 . 6/12/2007 I just love stumbling across fics about the lesser known characters of Harry Potter. I thought your depiction of Millicent Bulstrode was very fitting. It almost made me sad - I've never thought of her in such a way before. |
