No, I don't actually think that that word qualifies because while sad it doesn't pull you down into some area of grey nothingness, at least not for myself. It inspires a sort of longing, the corner-of-your-eye not knowing of something, that deep-seated want and yet eternal lack of that which your heart desires. It's warming, honestly; it creeps through your being like a flame and alights your emotions in ways that no other piece I have ever read has done so, which I mean truly. This is absolutely, truly, magnificently beautiful. |
