I liked the ending. I spent a while pondering the kikuyu thing. I think that there is definitely an AU where I might ship them. But when so many things stay the same as in canon as far as them and Kagome I don’t. HOWEVER... the way you emphasized everything he did to stay loyal to kikyou in this version, despite Kagome’s “charms” sorta seems like a foundation for trust going forward. They could heal the distrust that broke them... ok anyway I enjoyed the story a lot. This is a good Sessh/Kag fic!

That was beautiful. That was... how he should be. Excellent scene. Could’ve stood on its own.

The bellybutton line was so good I couldn’t not comment! Also I love the analysis of Koga and Yasha implied actions vs it being empty gestures.

Good story. I enjoyed it.

So confused. They were travelling, then stopped near a river to play water games, set up camp with the plan to go to Kaede’s village in the morning while Inuyasha and Kouga go hunting, Sango and Kagome have girl talk... then suddenly they are close enough to the village that Kagome went over the well before the boys are back from hunting?

This story was awesome! I am a late bloomer SessKag fan and I thought I had basically found a the really good, well written stories. You proved me wrong! You kept the characters fairly well like themselves. You didn’t make Kagome too angsty or sexy and Sesshomaru too loquacious. The way you worded sentences and statements that would have otherwise been normal and boring, you made them hilarious! I loved the brevity of your writing. I am so sad that you don’t have more stories.

Holy sudden changes batman. I guess it makes things quick.

You spent like half a page talking about fate and time on a random tangent. It could be summarized in 3 sentences, and even that would be unnecessary.

Things not to do:

1) Recaps for books. People can just turn the page. You don't need a recap to pad the word length.

2) Kikyo Hate-fic. Having one character completely off, and in-explicitly EVIIIL because you hate her makes your story inherently removes the integrity of your story.

3) Author notes trying to be cute/humblebrag/fake self-depreciation. Imagine that right after the scene where Dumbledore dies, the movie suddenly cuts to J.K. Rowling doing a cute pose with a wink and V sign, asking "Oh.. how could the author have done such a terrible thing?". Imagine that every time you decide to write such an author note.
