This is absolutely beautiful! You've captured both characters so well and amazingly, I LOVE it! I definitely see them as friends after the movie. I always felt like they were a better match than any of the pairings in the film, and I thought the dynamic you created between them is perfect! So glad I found this :)

allison/bender any way possible is my otp for the breakfast club. and i liked how you showed that their platonic relationship in this was much more stable than his fragile romantic relationship with claire, but that he valued them equally.

he just held onto them with differently, that's all.

and then there's that whole deal with allison/andy and brian. my personal (sad) headcanon is that claire and andy ignored the other three for p much ever. but then brian, allison, and bender become super close. like a mini family. the weirdo trio that hangs out and no one knows why. everyone says that apparently they go to the library like every saturday. what a waste of a weekend, etc. c:

and since you mostly wrote it in sort of bender's perspective, i can fill in between the lines of what alli says in my opinion, which is nice. and then, there's all their quirks that are so subtly added in, or not, but it makes sense. I can hear his voice calling her Klepto for sure.

I think you got Bender all right. You've gotten Allison better than most, but she so amazingly weird that it's hard to capture her character completely. Good job.

THAT WAS SO FABULOUS. I've been looking for a Bender/Allison fanfic like this one for a long time. I've only found a couple others - including 'Skin and Bones' but I forget who wrote that one - that really captured the characters' personalities. I hate when fics say they're Allison/Bender but then they're just like 'alison liked da way dat bendur lookd at her it med her fil hawt n smexy inside dey strated to mak ot'. I've been telling myself, 'If you can't find enough good fanfics for this ship, write one yourself' but I haven't yet. I really liked how you have Bender and Allison relating on an intellectual and personal level instead of just a sexual one. This was really great. I look forward to more fics like this in the future. Well done.

Okay, so this review is due to the best review coersion author's note I've seen...

Great story. Loved the characterisations. Your interest in the chemistry between Allison and Bender matches my own, and I think you capured it rather well in this story. They, and Claire, came across well.

My personal impression from the film would be that Claire was more likely to be "a dick" than Andy in terms of the fact that Andy would almost certianly not actually blank the others, though he may not stand up for them (seemed too weak...almost certianly would have been unable to manage a real relationship with Allison). I also think Bender would have lost a fight with Andy, as he lost the scuffle in the film, unless he was willing to up the ante with a weapon. Actually, a snide warning may have been a bit more in character.

But that's just my opinion, and one of the greatest joys of fanfic is how many interpretations of characters and concepts are around. That said: nice story, well written. Thanks for providing me the opportunity to see into one of your worlds...
