Reviews for Frost Blue
Guest chapter 1 . 12/20/2016
Jesus, that was wonderfully bittersweet and SO well written!
Also, this is definitely not fluff, it's actually more dark than some other 'angst' fics I've read.
I can't believe something this short made me feel so much-so wistful and heartbroken. This left me with an unfathomably profound sense of loss. You conveyed the after effects of war so well. You seriously have a real gift with words.
Queengi chapter 1 . 11/17/2015
This is one of my favorite one shots. It's so realistic, and it flows well. It's also filled with profoundly true statements about love and devotion.
hoshiakari7 chapter 1 . 9/9/2015
I absolutely love this one-shot.
I like the simplicity of their love... it feels like something one would feel in real life (compared to the fairytale ending or the true love another reviewer compared it to) and though it left me feeling a bit... wistful? sad? I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
Superb job!
kitcatscratch chapter 1 . 8/10/2015
Wow. I'm always amazed when I stumble across something so well written...and so few reviews! Truly, this was well done. Well written. I know people like to go with the big stuff: the obsessive love, the big blow outs, etc. But truly, there is something deeply moving and profound with the simplest and truest of emotions.
FoolForYou chapter 1 . 1/24/2010
Oh wow.

Now that, is what you call a hidden gem.

This is a masterpiece. It honestly, truly is.

Not only is your writing so poetic and wonderful, but it also says so much, like the hidden symbolism of the roses and barely-there whispers of their romance and well, I hesitate to say love now .

But seriously, this is amazing beyond words.

I think what I love about it, is how perfect and realistic and human their relationship is. It's not love, as in t is not the traditional powerful all-consuming love, nor is it that fiery, passionate romance but rather, that simple devotion and comfort and peace you have with that someone. That, to me anyway, is the most real and the best love. And you have portrayed that so spectacularly.

'This morning, when you were talking about the roses… it just clicked. That there’s a difference between passion and love. That it’s better to be with someone who feels comfortable, like a friend, someone you don’t mind seeing you at your worst. That that’s what’s real, not beauty or wit or blind, short-term passion. That I like living with you.’

(favourite line right there)

I am so in love with this.

And I am so surprised that this hasnt been as highly praised as it should be.

I think this is my favourite oneshot ever.

Gwinna chapter 1 . 3/17/2008
I first read this story like two years ago, when I had only just started reading fanfiction; it really struck me at the time and afterwards I always considered it to be one of my favorite oneshots ever. I just reread it and can say with confidence that I didn’t just think it was that good because I was new to fanfiction and new to DHr, but because it really is that good. It’s like in every paragraph you say something insightful about Draco or Hermione’s character, or about the nature of love or fear or devotion or whatever. Your use of the blue rose and its meaning for symbolizing their relationship is just perfect, and it’s very touching how nothing about them resembles a fairytale romance, and yet the love is there; it’s not perfect, but it’s real. I wouldn’t call that fluff, but it’s really beautiful. Thank you for writing. :)

(By the way, I actually read a few of your other oneshots two years ago as well, so maybe I will reread them sometime and leave you some more reviews. And I’ve also been meaning to read Augurey Song just as long - I hope you haven’t abandoned it!)

oh..i just read it

très profond...
Tammy chapter 1 . 2/26/2006
Sorry dear, I don't think this story falls under the category of "fluff". What I write is "fluff"; you're not capable of it...your stories are too deep. I liked how you did this story, because in truth Hermione and Draco would never be all smoochie and lovey-dovey...a relationship between them would be how you protrayed it. Great job!
justasimplesketch chapter 1 . 2/25/2006
That was extremely sweet in many ways. I really loved this story, one of the best one shots I've read in quite a while. I love your writing style, quite a bit. It flows naturally, not at all strained.

Nice work, especially because I'm madly in love with D/Hr. :)
living dead chapter 1 . 2/25/2006
nicely written
Celeste-Storm chapter 1 . 2/25/2006
This is a really great fic! It's very well written, and I love the symbolism and the fact that it is not a perfect fairy tale, it gives it a realistic feel. And it does not stray into OOCness. Great Job! _
