Oh my dear! This was so beautiful. I really think the story just got better and better and better. It really does feel as though it was a personal journey for you because it speaks so eloquently about your (may I say highly evolved) personal philosophy. I cried of course, quite a bit. I like that you wrapped things up with hope for everyone's happiness but you also left it open for our imaginations too.

I did wonder how we could leave poor Giliath in endless slumber dreaming of Meli, but I see you had a plan for Meli's long life after Frodo. You balanced it beautifully, not making it too easy for her to follow Frodo's wishes but allowed her heart to open to the idea far more believably. The inclusion of the music of the Valar was stunningly written.

I know there are many many things I wanted to say, because there were some gorgeous moments here. But I will add that the inclusion of Lissenya made me smile and bounce. And the "smelling hello" at the beginning was so very Samlike!

This was a perfect conclusion, my friend and a wonderful beginning to many years of writing to come I do hope.

How lovely! And such a charming way to learn of Frodo's family as he takes his ease in that beautiful place. He has certainly earned it. Wonderful dear Cassandria!

Thank you for the most satisfactory and happily surprising conclusion to Mithrellas's tale. I had hoped so much that Sammy's healing song and words might have stayed with her and helped her to make her decision.

That moment of the ring's hold over Sam as Sammy recognized it was so poignant and Sam and Frodo's reunion was perfect, just as it should have been. I hope I do as well when I manage it in reverse.

There are so many lovely thoughts here that I can't count them, and expressed so beautifully. You should be very proud of this chapter my dear!

This story was so sweet, I don't know if it is finished but I just wanted to say that I also never liked the way lord of the rings ended. The one who sacrificed the most (Frodo, in my opinion) didn't really have a happy ending like all the rest. It's so unfair. I love what you did, and I'm adding this story to my list of all-time favorites! :)

You took a risk, with the miscarriage. Some might not think it appropriate, but it is real life, and although it is fanfiction, where reality is questioned, sorrow is a constant. Very well done. Elwen.

Oh my, how I enjoyed this tale! I loved the story of Meli and Frodo, but I must say my heart truly belongs to Sammy.

There were quite a few things I read that I thought, "oh, I need to remember to comment on how good that was," but I didn't want to quit reading and do it, lol.

I love some of your descriptive turns of phrasing. Like Rose feeling "flittering bashfulness" I bounced in my chair with writer's glee. Perfect!

And this bit was spectacular, "For without the choices of imperfect beings, there would surely be little joy." *happy sigh*

You have a tender touch in your writing. How I cried when Sammy sailed away from his family. And my elf in his grief with Gimli faithfully bolstering his spirits with banter...*sob* I love how you wrote Arwen - she's magical. And the healing Sammy might have brought Erebwen! What a surprise she was tucked unexpectedly into the tale. I hope we will hear later that she found the courage to take ship Westward. And the diary in Moria was a very emotional, especially with Legolas like a ghost of sadness "disappearing from Sammy's life forever." gah!

Dear one! I have read your tale up to chapter seven and would stay up the rest of the night to complete it if I didn't have to work tomorrow. Meli is absolutely charming and brave. You must have watched the scene with Aragorn and Arwen on the bridge many times imagining little Meli singing from her balcony and dreaming of a future filled with love. It seemed very fitting that Gandalf alone knew where the Colter elves lived. He would certainly find them a fascination. There is a lot of you in your sweet Meli, too. And who better to offer Frodo the true healing of love and fulfillment? I have yet to complete my epilogue where Frodo returns and weds Estellye, the daughter of Serafe and Legolas. I may have a tough time imagining him with anyone but Meli, lol. I can't wait to finish the story! (Cassandria) *hugs you* - Elf
