Cobalt blue Amoeba chapter 1 . 3/5/2019 I have always been fascinated by the Borg. Thank you for this in depth look into their world. |
The Homing Pigeon chapter 1 . 5/21/2014 Great story, although some people say that the Borg have been done to death in mainstream publications I always find that the fanfiction stories cover much more interesting aspects of their invasions, and this take on the Picard view of the Wolf 359 battle is great! |
Jedipilot24 chapter 1 . 9/2/2013 To Alex Warlorn and Guest, there is a fanon theory that explains both how the Queen survived and how drones assimilated at Wolf 359 ended up in the Delta Quadrant: /?History_%26_Cartography:How_the_Borg_Queen_Survi ved |
Guest chapter 1 . 11/16/2012 Pretty good, only a couple things. I don't think the Klingons made it to Wolf 359 and there was a second cube in federation space (possibly the one that installed the trans warp conduit, that assimilated survivors at Wolf 359 and went on to attack a Klingon world on its way back to the Delta Quadrant. |
DMCF chapter 1 . 8/13/2012 NO COME IT. |
Zelda12343 chapter 1 . 3/21/2012 Amazing perspective. I highly enjoyed this! |
creativesm75 chapter 1 . 9/15/2010 nice. The borg is a... very scary... thing |
konarciq chapter 1 . 7/8/2010 Very, VERY intriguing story. And very well written, too. I think you did a real good job, getting into Picard/Locutuss mind. Psychological thriller this, even if you know whats going to happen! |
Rye-bread chapter 1 . 3/19/2010 Fan-tastic. Where shall I begin? I’m bedazzled and amazed. I feel like I’m reading something by someone with both the technical expertise of, say, Geordi LaForge or Montgomery Scott, the military strategic expertise of a great general (a quick google turned up Alexander, Julius Caesar, Napoleon, etc), and the programming expertise of a software writer. Some stuff I can look at and say (with braggadocio) that I can write as good. Your style allows no such illusions. It’s outa my league-like stellar distance. It’s a canny author to pull that stuff off-either a prodigy in all kinds of areas or a tireless researcher. But enough overwrought enthusiasm. You’re not so small as to crave effusive flattery (I’m being facetious) Let me cite just one item of authenticity-how you reconciled a detail of Borg implants to a detail found in an episode of Star Trek Voyager-that the Borg. surgically remove body parts to attach their artificial implants. And I can’t leave it alone. The aspect of your story that addresses the ideal society. The Borg solution hearkens to the severe regimentation found in the Nazi philosophy. Your story did for me what the whole Star Trek TNG does for the fandom-makes us think. I had things as diverse as Plato’s Republic and Donald Duck’s cartoon Der Master Race going through my head. (PS-if you aren’t familiar with the cartoon I refer to, it’s a must-see-consult Youtube.) |
BakerStreetIsLastRefugeOfHope chapter 1 . 12/13/2008 A great story. Very good. |
Aero Tendo chapter 1 . 2/19/2007 This story was incredibly done and would have made for an excellent Star Trek episode. Perhaps during a flashback scene instead of the visit home to his brother. I think you did and excellent job with all the characters in it, including the Borg and their reactions to him trying to fight them. I especially liked the the battle scene you had with the Cube vs. The Federation. That would have been THE battle for Star Trek to show and all they show are the wrecks. I liked the pace you put into this story and the timings for the exact show lines was perfect. The ending with the whisper to the mind of the ex-Locutus was excellent. 10/10 rating by me. _ Keep up the good work! |
Fanboy1069 chapter 1 . 10/22/2005 Very well done, and true to the characters. |
Acting Captain chapter 1 . 7/18/2004 An enjoyable read. There are a few things I would have changed in Picard's reactions early on, but they are minor, and very much a mater of personal preference. The story improved as it developed and, in the end, was very well done. For more information, contact me directly. If you are so inclined, I think you might enjoy my "A Time before Yesterday" a sequel to "Yesterday's Enterprise" (TNG Episode #63). It can be found on my web site ~star-trek/ Keep up the good work. |
Cayley chapter 1 . 11/25/2002 A welcome addition to a terrific episode of my favourite television series. The thoughts are a bit short at certain times, but then again, the poor guy's been assimilated by the Borg, and it's very much in character anyhow. I really enjoyed this story, and believe me, I don't say that every review! P.S. I really like your little /10 rating system when you review a story. Wish I'd thought of that. :) |
borgfan chapter 1 . 11/6/2002 Awsesome! I loved it! |
