Interesting point-of-view piece! The language used seems older than three (based on the small sampling of 3-year-olds I'm around, anyway), but I decided that since it's representing his internal thoughts, it's okay to put them into more advanced language than would be believable if it were coming from him as spoken dialogue. Does that make sense? I'm not sure, but the point is, I accepted it as a reader, and very much enjoyed not only this look at his feelings about Leo's departure, but also the glimpse into everyday life from his perspective, and what he thinks of his family members. I liked the point one of your other reviewers made about the short attention span - jumping around of topics, but always returning to Leo. That worked very well!

I am completely speechless...I absolutely love this and just think that it was absolutely breathtaking. Wyatt is cuter and probably smarter than anyone gives him credit for.

I thought it was great how he was talking about how much he missed his dad but would them branch off into another subject, the classic short attention-span of a three year old. I would absolutely love to see a possible sequel as Wyatt grows a little older and seeing how things change in his mind. Keep it up, you have an amazing talent and all of us love reading it's product!
