Crikey! I wasn't expecting to see Spring-Heeled Jack and a UFO in a Harry Potter-related story. For that, and the atmosphere you conjure up, michelle, 'Two Worlds' deserves praise!

Looks like Luna was out to show the 'will o'the wisps' to Hermione, and was herself startled at the end when she realised her theory on them was wrong.

A nicely realised story. I like how you incorporate folklore (and a 1990s-type UFO) into it, and show the relationship between Luna and a more tolerant Hermione. Keep up the good work!

i especially liked the part when hermione had to turn her jacket inside out. i liked all the creatures that you put in it. you seem to have great knowledge of it all.

A wonderfully beautiful Holloween story; one of your best I think. Your use of imagery makes it like reading poetry, and you capture the ghostly spirit of Halloween perfectly. I love your line: "a dark dance of wooden skeletons and forest fiddles," and your description of the old Saxon well was so vivid that I could practically touch the crumbling blue stones. This particular story line certainly brought out the best in you as an author. I can hardly wait until next October, when I hope you will give us another wonderfully spooky story. A lovely adventure. The characterization was very fitting, they were both very much themselves. And the adventure was interesting enough to keep one reading. Very nice.

What a wonderful ghost-story. The friendship between the girls is warm and solid. They really have so much in common. And this really is Luna's night, filled by her creatures and govern by her rules. Lucky Hermione to share it. I do reacall reading about spring-heeled jack somewhere. Someone of the fay, perhaps. And the UFO-observation was very interesting. Totally unexpected but still in feeling with the rest of the story. Something for the Quibbler, no doubt. Very good!

Nice little story! Although the humour of Hermione desperately following an unpredictable and flighty Luna was getting a bit tired; I'm glad the second half changed to a different tone.

Very clever, your amalgamation of two genres/worlds into one story. It could only happen to Luna! Or people reading about her.

Nice to think that the two women are firm friends after Voldemort is defeated (I presume) and they've left Hogwarts. I'm starting to forget HBP, but I don't think we saw much interaction between Luna and Hermione; I've always liked your stories for that, the collision of two such different backgrounds and temperaments. I'm glad in this one that Hermione is happy to give Luna her time, and seems to have matured a little, having some respect for her and what she says.
