Great story - yet again

Hawke and Michael's relationship is wonderful. I love how Michael always calls Hawke at an inappropriate time and Hawke's grumpiness in response to Michael's exaggerated joviality. You portray this so well.

Again, fantastic plot and action scenes. The reader can easily visualise the ensuing chaos. Love Dom telling Hawke to stop fretting.

I bet Hawke really enjoyed kissing Cait like that in front of Ballard; I love the way he is so alpha male over her now she's officially his. And Cait's 'dont hold your breathe' in response to Ballard's suggestion she might get bored of Hawke. Yes, I don't think she will either, lucky girl...

And I love jealous Hawke, almost as much as Caitlin! I can just see him warning Ballard off that way with an insincere smile on his face!

Blimey, there's a lot going on here!

You have a real talent for writing conversation; the flow is so natural and you use it to really illustrate the characters' personalities to great effect.

The 'you can be a cop, I don't want to be a cop' conversation made me laugh; their relationship, though rock solid in it's foundations, it still in its infancy, so they still have the odd crisis of confidence over the other's feelings and you have demonstrated that so well here.

The scene with Amelia was totally charming; no doubt Amelia was surreptitiously telling Caitlin she had won the jackpot with Hawke; not that she needs be told, of course!

I love how you include Tet in your stories; again it is another detail, and an essential one, because that dog has been a big part of Hawke's hermit lifestyle.

Wow, that was fantastic! Hawke the strategist foils the enemy again. Your plots are just great; did you just watch lots of programmes like this, or did you do actual military strategy research. It really is very impressive.

Hawke and Caitlin's open affection for each other at the beginning here is sweet; Hawke seems like a weight has been lifted from his shoulders.

I like that you have brought Marella back; she will always be Michael' special aide to me. So far when Michael has been in the presence of Hawke and Caitlin in your series, we have had a glimpse into how he has noticed something going on with them, yet, now they are openly together, we haven't seen any acknowledgment from him; I can't remember if we get this later on.

Ah, the morning after! I bet Caitlin could barely believe it when she woke up!
You do a great job of conveying Hawke's new-found serenity; for the first time since 'Single Parent Hawke', he seems so at peace with himself and his modified relationship with Caitlin. The rightness he recognises comes through in the written word.

Got to love the way Dom starts laying into Hawke until he realises why Hawke was 'distracted'. Cait's anxiety over Dom's approval is sweet, but of course Hawke knows that Dom has been rooting for them for some time; his moment of doubt when Dom appears to be wary is cute.

Ohhhhhhhhhh.

I liked Bening in a formidable bad guy kind of way, and I'm kind of disappointed to be seeing the last of him, and I am also kind of disappointed in the way he left. I would think someone so intelligent and driven would have been more careful not to get caught red-handed :P I am not familiar with Season 4, but if high-tech equipment suddenly appeared out of nowhere, this is a good explanation for it. It seems unrealistic that something so sophisticated would be maintained by just two guys and a couple of monkey wrenches (adjustable spanners to you :P) so bringing in the equipment makes sense.

Loved this chapter, been waiting for one like this for a while. Ah, yes, Hawke, you and the Lady were meant for each other...and he calls Dom 'incurable' when it comes to the Lady! Sheesh! ~_
