I love it! Although in the back of my mind, I kind of want to smack Ashura for bullying a little kid into killing people. That makes for an amusing picture. It's like an ant poking a mountain. Smoosh!

WOW! Your b/g of Fai was way off {since it was reversed 1st he had a bad childhood and then it turned better} but your prediction of the demon was very very close -claps at oyur awsomeness- I kind of just went brain dead after a those predictions since I was to engrossed in the actual story to bother to think {hey thats what their for right?} Anyway I think that you should make a sequel! It ended so...there. Like it was cut off or something I love how you write and au or not this is an awsome story! I always thought Fai had to have had a traumatic childhood {he did as written by clamp} beacuse in the anime and manga Kurogane always called Fai a liar and although he appears to be somewhat...not smart at certain things he is a ninja and shouldve learned to pay close attention and he seems to be good at knowing people as proven in a few chaps. Fai always seems to get very serious/sad at times and whenever asked about certain things he brushes it off with a smile. I realize this is an anime/manga but noone can smile that much even when they are dieing/apologize like that without having something to hide. Manga people usually put that little thing in their mangas. Although it wasn't really Ashura's fault so I doubt he abused Fai {he did save him after all}. Fai means fairy by the way -! Well fye actually and a couple of other 3 letter words like fai and fye {i think fay too} so I assume that fai might mean fairy too but in another lanuage not mentioned there/I forgot and it was. lol.

Wow, I hardly ever read Tsubasa fics, but this one was great! Of course, now it's AU since CLAMP has revealed Fai's tragic past (which, as you pointed out, everyone knew was going to be tragic). I'm rather miffed that CLAMP spells his name as Fay, but whatever. (It's just that everyone will pronounce it to rhyme with "may" if they haven't seen the katakana that read "Fai." Grr...)

Considering you wrote this when Fai's past wasn't totally revealed, I think you did very well! This would've been a fine past for me if CLAMP still hadn't revealed Fai's "official" history.

I love the banter between Faiik and Faina. _ You can really tell they've been married for a long time. And Faiik talking to the domovoi makes me think of Fiddler, for some reason...

There was so much sadness in this story. But there was also alot of nice moments that were really warm and nice. I liked Ashura's harsh little talk to Fai. I also think it's quite odd for Fai to be so happy and carefree, now that we all know that his past included so many sad things like imprisonment with dead body's and everyone he knew dying because he was unlucky T_T and then the first person to show him kindness he had to kill. So tragic and pitiful T_T but it makes you wonder how can he manage to stay sane through all the suffering. Thats why we all love fai i

Wow, your really talented at plotlines, and your forshadowing of future disasters is subtle and hypnotic. I really prefer your version of Fai to the other versions. This is really enjoyable.

I wonder, since Fai's wish wasto never return to Celes( even though it wasn't granted in the end) and said nothing about Valeria, where he technically is King since he was a prince and the Emporer died, what would happen if TRC landed in valeria? And since the no-celes wish was revoked, shouldn't Yuuko give fai his tattoo back? that would be ironic...

i cried. I admit it...i cried cause it was just so sad! this is almost a detestible fic but it's also the best TRC fic I've ever read. you really did make Fai seem like an innocent drawn into a battle he could never win...it's so sad how Ashura manipulated him! too sad for my liking of a normal fic but a really nice piece of work.

You deserve an award. You really do. Every one of your stories blow me over in awe. You're really an awesome author. Keep up your great work. I can't even begin to express how much I love your stories. You did an awesome job with this one.

I absolutely love your stories. They're beautiful. I like your interpretation of Fai's past, probably one of the best I've heard since.

This one was my favourite. It drove me to the brink of tears, which is a mighty good accomplishment, seeing as I'm mostly apathetic right now, and don't respond emotionally to alot of things.
