This was beautiful. The hobbits are not my favorite characters, Legolas, Aragorn, and Gimli are, but that, I think, is due more to the fact that Pippin and Merry suffered from sitting in trees in Fanghorn forest for much of the second movie, and thus I found those moments less riveting. I did enjoy them all when the Fellowship was together.

This was lovely, though, as I could 'hear' all the voices of the hobbits, and enjoyed the interaction of Pippin and Legolas. I love the intense, boundless curiosity of the hobbits (Pippin) juxtaposed next to the quiet, contemplative ... and agelessness... of Legolas, and I can imagine the night spent with Legolas battling the effects of the poison, whilst Pippin keeps watch and gives aid.

Awesome One-shot! It was great! One thing, though. The Fellowship of the Ring actually traveled by night, not day, when they first set upon their journey. Just pointing that out.

Wonderful story. Love the friendship of Pippin and Legolas. It makes Legolas' concern for merry and Pippin when they were captured by orc's later even more poignant.

Is it strange when the spider bit Legolas, my instinct was to suck the poison out? I'm not even trained in healing... That was really sweet, though. And it's plausible!
