In chapter five, Luthy considers writing up to a dreadful cliffhanger then ceasing to update. This was a warning, wasn't it? You planned this all along.

Or perhaps it was a challenge, and you have the rest of the story saved on a hard drive somewhere, and now that somebody has risen to the challenge you'll post the rest.

Or maybe this is just a tragically good, tragically unfinished fandom legend.

This is one of the best fanfics I've ever read, and perhaps even one of the best stories, period. I am glad I read it, even if I will never know the end. I am glad it was one of the first fanfics I read, so I knew how high I could set my standards. I am glad you wrote it, Erestor-whose-real-name-the-world-may-never-know. I am glad for a lot of things, but I cannot type them here. I do not have words to express most of them.

I heard in the reviews that there was an ending spoiler on your bio, and was subsequently VERY disappointed when I found that there were none. Did you delete it or something? If so, please add it back—or tack it on to the end of this chapter—or better yet, write some more! I need to know!

This is hilarious. I am in paroxysms of laughter over this, and stayed up until 4 AM rewiring my brain (long story) with this. It it beyond priceless, I love it.

I began cackling madly as soon as Nienna began talking about the chopping knife, and didn't stop until the end of the chapter. This is absolutely hilarious.

sooooooo... the 'good' guys are all now evilly plotting... and i suppose our ranger and his elf are leading people to the end of the Underground Railroad line and evilly plotting to take over that, too? the crazy thing is, this is the most plausible fanfic i have EVER read, as well as the most original.

the only reason luthien isn't kickbutt is because she doesn't need to be. she has natural powers greater than those of a purebred elf, and just as much bravery.
