Damn, I... I'm actually kind of bummed at how impatient Virgil is being about Richie wanting to set boundries and about Richie's fear about being outed. :c. I know it's probably supposed to be part of Virgil's delevopment as a character, but it just... doesn't feel like something Virgil would do. It... didn't feel very good to read.

Richie's fight in the alley was great. . Loved the banter between Richie and the assailant. Dialogue was hilarious. I also liked watching Richie handle it on his own.

WHAT WAS THIS EQUATION. Is it a real one? Or just a weird one for the chapter? xD I am so amused about the idea of Richie being in life or death situations and his brain jumping back and forth between that and some totally unrelated problem that he NEEDS to solve.

I really like how you refer to Virgil's hair as "locks" and not "dreads."

RICHIE IS SO AFRAID. I feel like he is in absolute denial of how happy Virgil makes him and how much happier he could make him romantically. I feel like he's so convinced that he'll let himself fall deeper for Virgil and then Virgil will realize he doesn't like boys/Richie as much as he claimed that he's not allowing himself to open his heart for a SECOND to the notion of letting Virgil in.

My heart is breakinngggggg noooooooo I wasn't ready for such a firm rejection from Richie.

The whole thing about Richie being the one place where he could relax WRECKED me, just killed me on the spot

Virgil and Richie's interaction is so damn funny. I died at Richie's demand for Virgil to pull his bottom lip back in. Just the raw "don't you pout at me" feeling in that line was so funny.

I LOVE that Richie made Virgil own up that terrible line he said to Hotstreak xD I love that EVERYONE PRESENT WAS JUST SO APPALLED BY IT.

The DATE. VIRGIL TOOK RICHIE ON A DAAAATE. HE WANTS TO CONFESS. AHHHHHHHH.

Okay, I've LOVED this fanfic up until this point, but I felt like there should have been a bigger difference between when Richie was still against going out with Virgil and when he agreed to it as a test of Virgil's feelings. He was still dismissing and making a mockery out of Virgil's feelings all throughout the planning, and even though he still wasn't convinced, he wouldn't let Virgil know that while they were scheduling the hecking date. Also Virgil wouldn't let him continue to treat him like garbage even after he agreed to the date. I didn't mean for this to sound harsh though, I'm still gonna continue loving this fic.

Hey there- I don't know if you're even using this account or seeing reviews, but I just wanted to stop by and say that, even though I first read this back in 2011, I still thoroughly enjoyed rereading in 2017. I was pretty review-shy for awhile, so I probably didn't do anything beyond faving last time, but please know that this review accounts for, like, three separate rereads!
