I like how everything ties back to the quote at the beginning, especially with this line: "An arrow that misses its target will do no less damage to the target it finds." Very nice.

And of course it's always better to have Glorfindel and Erestor on the same side. I've always liked your take on Erestor, such a cagey little perfectionist. Just the sort of person who might never forgive a person for being physically overbearing at him and trampling on his trust.

Also... so relieved that puppy was all right. I really thought you were going to kill a puppy!

Hooray for closure and the end of this tale! Way to go coming back and finishing it after all this time. Bravo!

How odd. This is such a lovely story, and you haven't updated in five years. I'm tempted to say R.I.P. to this fic, but I can't. I would have loved to know what was going to happen. I haven't felt this disappointed at finding a half-finsihed fic since I read 'The Follower' by Ivanneth.

By the way, I find your interpretation of Erestor to be highly intriguing and interesting. I never imagined him to be a cold, stern Elf with short black hair, but you have carried it off well.

Do update soon. It's a shame to leave a story like this unfinished. Your understanding of psychology is brilliant.

And is it still on the way? 'Cause I'd really like to hear the end of it, since it sounds like Erestor is MIA, and I think Sirgannel needs to succeed(!) The storm and missing child, of course, totally adds to the suspense of the thing, and I'd like to hear what Elrond's punishment was going to be before they were interrupted.

Another absolutely wonderful story. I've loved horses ever since I was a little girl and I was riding before I had learned to walk (I live on a ranch). Marguerite Henry was my very favorite author from the time I was eight until I was ten. Keep up the excellent work!

Please update! I know it is hard being at college, believe me I'm there too, but it would be a shame to discontinue this story. You are a great writer, writing stories that grab the reader and makes them want to never stop reading. So please update; don't leave us hanging!

That was low of Elrond to bring up Beregond. But it was effective, I think. Anyway, this is a really good story... I look forward to the update
