Te'sorthene-a Rom word, roughly translated as "spirit/heart-friend", which I take to mean someone closer than even family. Apt description of those two, isn't it?

I know you wrote this years ago, but this angst-fest really touched me. Love the Shep McKay friendship and the dash of Sam Rodney on the side! You also showed me with this story that lots of descriptive writing isn't nessecarily a bad thing. Thanks.

Just a note to say I loved this story and all of the other stories you've posted. I adore nice John/Rodney friendship stories and you really have a nice feel for both characters. Plus, I really, really like your treatment of Kavanaugh and Sam Carter. Both those characters have deeply annoyed me at one time or another, but you didn't go with the stereotypes. Anyway, thanks for sharing and write more soon!

This story, I absolutely love. Just amazing, I adore the team dynamics, not to mention the involvement of SG1 and Selmak. Too bad O'neill couldn't come too, but its still a fantastic story.

Being a very new SGA fan, I've been reading and enjoying all your stories, but this one prompted me finally to review (I am a terribly lazy reviewer; I feel guilty about it but can't seem to change) because of the delightful Samantha/Rodney interaction. Don't get me wrong, I adore Rodney and Sheppard and I'm a huge fan of friendship stories, but you have a wonderful light touch with Sam and McKay's complicated relationship. Unlike the SGA team, Sam knew our beloved Rodney back when he was a complete louse and you did a nice job with her coming to the realization of how much he's changed since coming to Atlantis. I just wanted to drop a line and let you know how much I enjoyed that. Now, back to our regularly scheduled John/Rodney friendship-fest. *g*

My kind of angst fest! Lots of c to balance the h. You do such a wonderful job with the characters - I loved Sam's reappraisal of McKay.

I don't know how many times I've read this story already. But after the estimated 4.5246 millionth time, I should probably leave at least a short note just how much I love this fic; especially the parts just between John and Rodney. The cave scene is really touching. It breaks my heart every time...Love it!
