Reviews for Princess Bride
The Blasphemous Contessa chapter 1 . 6/12/2011
This is so well written and original. I love it even though Alanna's are my least favorite books. I will be checking out that other fic you mentioned.
MeepaHorsegirl chapter 1 . 1/2/2011
First, I really, really liked this fic. The writing is lovely.

However, maybe I'm missing something, but I sort of don't think that Josianne's insanity comes through very well. She simply seems like she's embedded in a fantasy world, instead of being a homicidal maniac.
Silent Serendipity chapter 1 . 6/28/2010
Great job, you get inside her head very well :)
mr bigglesworth chapter 1 . 9/29/2009
er, hi i dont k now who Josiane is (sorry!) but i think this is good. and yes, i have read trickters choice/queen.

GO TORALL/EMELAN!
Bookflower chapter 1 . 4/24/2008
This is really amazing. It was only the second telling of the fairy tale when I realised it was Joisaane. It was a great idea, and executed stunningly.
lyin chapter 1 . 12/21/2007
absolutely beautiful imagery in your descriptions; awesomeness in the uniting of tamora pierce's world between the books, and yeah, fabulous fabulous job with an indeed underrated character- one i hadn't thought of in a very long time- very very good. gave me chills. nice! :D
snow and the sea chapter 1 . 12/17/2007
I think you did a good job. It would be just like Jos to replay and rewrite until everything went her way-sort of. I think that Jos's telling of her own story led to her stubborness, and greed and jelousy. That she, and Only she could tell when things had finished, and what would happen next.

My Verxsion: "and so the beautiful princess with corn-silk hair died of herself, because she had to control her life: She wanted to live forever with the Handsome Prince, but of course, Life has other plans, and so does the Prince."

Yea? I think I should put something in about general morals.
Eldrice chapter 1 . 7/4/2005
Oh, I am a moron today. I meant simile, not metaphor. And I used to be such a good English student . . . sorry.
Eldrice chapter 1 . 7/4/2005
I am currently falling out of my chair in delight. Bravo! I haven't read the Tortall books in many years (and no other Tamora Pierce except for Wild Magic), but this still kept me fascinated, even though I wasn't quite sure whether this was Josiane speaking or not until the very end. Your writing style is wonderful, I didn't realize how wonderful until I came to the line: "The younger princess was put aboard a ship that bucked and tossed until she came to a cold and strange kingdom to seek her fortune." Using the verbs "bucked and tossed" instead of "sail" or one of its metaphors was a great idea, and not one that many fanfic writers would come to. And I really appreciate the clean simplicity of your writing. Yay!

(I said I would read more of your stories soon!)
maliaphire chapter 1 . 6/3/2005
random but gd idea
Merkury chapter 1 . 6/2/2005
That was good!
Alone in the Desert chapter 1 . 6/2/2005
In the beginning of TC, the king of the Copper Isles is Oron, not Hazarin. Hazarin is his son. It says in TC that Josianne is Oron's niece, and in TQ that she's his daughter. I'm not sure which one it is, but Oron's daughter Imajane is described in a way that's quite similar to Josianne, what with the golden hair and so forth. They could be sisters.

Oh, and as a sidenote, I like your Josianne. Very subtle, but definitely not in touch with reality. *Big thumbs up*
Gavin Gunhold chapter 1 . 6/1/2005
Woot! I get a shameless plug!

And yes.. I love serpent-delia.

Do you find it odd how well you do the crazy ones? ;)

The concept and the descriptions and the backstory are fabulous. What more is there to say?

lyredenfers chapter 1 . 6/1/2005
This is my favourite.

The fairy tale-ness, the DWJ-ness, the Josianne-ness, the everything actually. Your take on Josianne, and how you manage to get inside her (royally messed up, pun intended) head is too good for words.

The only thing I don't like, in fact, were the sad-eyed monkeys. They remind me of Philip Pullman's monkeys. Ick.

Here's hoping that you write more twisted princesses!

Bambolieblue chapter 1 . 6/1/2005
I really liked this. It was a great portrayal of Josianne, though I did not know that it was she at first. Further more, I like how you had different attempts on writing the story.
