Ah lovely story. I love how each of your stories has a different take on their relation. Absolutely splendid end; I loved the ending lines...

But there's one slight problem. It's basically that you keep switching tenses. At one point its past tense, then its past continuous then its present. I just advise you to not switch the tenses so much. For example if you said 'they drank whiskey' then dont say 'they would walk together'. Just a little suggestion on how to make me appreciate your brilliant stories a little more )
