Master Hawkeye, as an independent alchemist, appears to have held some disdain for the State Military. (taken from fma dot fandom dot com / wiki ) He hated the fact that Roy was going to the Military Academy which was also another reason he refused to teach him Flame Alchemy. Roy only learned Flame Alchemy because Riza showed him her Father's treasured secret research. We also find out that her grandfather is a military officer - General Grumman (Roy's Superior). This is fine for an AU story, but it's not cannon.

That was a good fic. I did find one flaw, sorry if it seems I'm being picky. But you mention her father's "fatal" wound to his legs. But then you mention that he was forced to leave the military for the injury. If it was fatal he should be dead. _

Sorry, I just wanted to point that out. I was a little confused at first but I assumed you were trying to impy that the injury was devestating to his legs, but he didn't die...
