Grey chapter 6 . 11/27/2010 This is excellent writing. Thanks for writing this. I was looking for something serious and deep to fill in the blanks, and this fits the bill exactly. Great work. |
Opium Crosshairs chapter 1 . 7/8/2006 *boggles* Write? As in - M'ways Write? |
Grym chapter 20 . 3/31/2006 Unbelievable. Simply fantastic. This is a true masterwork of fanfiction and could easily be an series of episodes for the show (well, except for that whole one-day limitation). Deft and clever writing, clear and descriptive style, genuine and in-character emotions and behavior. Although I'm not a slash reader usually, the interaction and mentality of Ramon's approaches to Jack are even believable, powerful, and frightening. I read this entire piece in one long day, utterly enthralled. And sad to see that the link to its continuation apears broken. Did a Google search and found you on LiveJournal, but haven't yet found the story. Would love to read on ... and once I catch up in my episode viewing (I'm almost through season 3 on DvD), I expect to be back to read every 24 piece you've written. Excellent, excellent work. Adding to favorites immediately. |
Xandra73 chapter 1 . 6/8/2005 I've finished chapter 15 and I think I need a break. Why? Because it totally invades my mind! I already thought 'Peace' is your masterpiece, but I have to say this is even better. The complexity of the story simply amazes me and your talent to capture the inner workings of the characters is perfect. Especially Jack and Ramon, of course. I can't await to read what comes next. Which means my break will be very short, I guess. *g* |

lynw21 chapter 16 . 5/4/2005 wow, that was not what I expected,I had gotten behind in reading, so I had to catch up. The tattoo part was done very well. Where are you heading after this? Is Jack loosing himself to the "other side" What has Ramon in mind next? |
kita chapter 15 . 4/30/2005 Absolutely utterly sickening, but, well...yeah. horrible. Nice bit of insight into Jack though. And now I think i'll run off to read something super fluffy and nonJack ;) |
kita chapter 14 . 4/30/2005 You are such a good writer! I've read this whole thing, and i don't even really like Jack. I can never make myself read fics that are entirely about him. But as much as I tell myself I'm reading it cos it does have bits of Tony in it, well, that's just obviously not true. :) What you've written is just..it's exactly how I could see it happening. Jack sometimes seems to see things in black I think you portray that brilliantly, showing that he kinda does, but kinda doesn't. I realise I'm not making much sense, so i'll leave it at that. Great writing, though :) |
Jenna chapter 15 . 4/30/2005 I like your story so far, it is really well written. |
goinDowney chapter 15 . 4/30/2005 Uh ... this was very powerful. As I wrote before, I love your style, you have the rare ability to create scenes that really come alive to the reader's inner eye. Well, as for the chapter itself: I'm glad you didn't put this up yesterday, when reading your stuff was pretty much the first thing I did after crawling outta bed at 2pm with a pretty mean hangover ... Poor Charlie, I mean, I knew he had it coming for some time now, I guess it was after that scene in the village a couple of chapters ago when I realized he HAD to be a cop. And since this is for sure the darkest version of "24 Undercover" I've ever read the shit really had to hit the fan BIG TIME. And it did. Well and Jack ... hm. He's such a complex character and I love your insights to his inner workings. He's the kind of fictional character you can think about for hours (if you have way to much time on your hands that is ;)) and in the end you still don't know WHAT to think. I guess his own thoughts at the end of the chapter sum it up pretty good. In many ways he's not better than Ramon or Hector and maybe even worse, because they don't know better - but he does. On the other hand, mabye he's still a good guy after all. It's all a matter of perspective and in the end it all comes down to the dialectic of Means and Ends. Ok, that's it. Excuse my ramblings but your story managed to shake me out of my bored stupor and I just HAD to write a lenghtier review this time. |
