Swashbucklist chapter 7 . 10/8/2010 Great story; you obviously put a lot of work into this. The action scenes were intense, the plot well-thought-out, and every character distinct and fully-formed. Those last few parts were pretty beautiful. As soon as Kato's ghost said, "Believe" I started hearing "Never Forget" from the Halo 3 soundtrack in the back of my head. The only thing that didn't seem entirely clear was whether he was talking to a vision or if that was actually Kato, having faked his death. I don't remember if they found a body or not way back in chapter one. Onto The Winds of God. |
Swashbucklist chapter 1 . 8/17/2010 This promises to be a pretty good Green Hornet fanfic. An organized synopsis and clean writing style are attention-grabbers for me, plus the combination of action-adventure and mystery genres is intriguing as hell. Only thing I don't like is how serious the whole thing is and how formal the writing style and characters are. There isn't much comic relief like the upcoming movie has promised. But I still hope to finish your trilogy before January 14. I'm also getting some "Batman Beyond" vibes from Britt Reid and Lee. |
smithcrafter chapter 1 . 4/28/2005 FANtastic story! I just finished the entire trilogy. I don't normally enjoy "after" stories, but if the Green Hornet was still popular enough to rate published books, this would definitely rate being one of them! It's well-written, and completely faithful to the character. |
The Fink chapter 7 . 5/12/2002 All I can say is thank the powers that be that the next installment of this is up! This was a thoroughly and completely excellent read. I was totally hooked from line one to the conclusion and I'm now about to start Winds of God...and given that when I started this I knew nothing of this show... Totally wonderful, compelling job. Thank you very much for sharing it. |
Steve chapter 1 . 3/6/2002 Well-paced and well-done story depicting Britt Reid after he retired from being the Green Hornet. Very enjoyable. I highly recommend this story to any GH fan. |
Carol chapter 7 . 2/25/2002 Sat up all night reading when I sat down to read this-it was 3 a.m. before I could shut the computer off and go to bed! Sorry it took so long to write the review-it is MAHVELOUS, dahlink! Warmly, Carol |
Eloria chapter 7 . 6/3/2001 ummm... I love your story, there were very very few mistakes in grammer and spelling and that was an extreamly pleasnt change from the norm. The thing is that you are very lucky I already know the sequel is out, hopefully I can finish it before midnight, of course if I do I'll have to start on the other one. I hope you write more. |
Lisa chapter 7 . 5/17/2001 Excellent! At first, I wasn't sure a Green Hornet story with an aging Britt Reid and no Kato would work. I'm happy you proved me wrong! The story is fast paced, exciting and well written. I love how Britt and Casey are true to their original forms, yet have grown with time. Additional plus: Casey wasn't a nagging wife who tried to keep Britt from becoming the Green Hornet again. The addition of Lee was both brilliant and endearing. It's easy to see you have put a lot of time and effort into this. Keep up the good work! I'm on to "The Winds of God." |
