You are a truly amazing writer! This has got to be one of the top five Phantom stories I've ever read. Wonderful. (I cried for ten minutes after finishing.)

I've never cried at a story until this one. I was amazed. It was about the most depressing thing I've ever read. I was holding my breath until the moment he died and I just didn't know what to do after that. I started reading a minute after that and...omg, the third last paragraph...well done, amazing story!

Excellent job! This was a recommended story that I'm glad I had the opportunity to read. You have such sharp imagery and you did a marvelous job of capturing Erik and Christine.

The only technical comment that I have is that Christine called herself a peacock. She should be called a peahen. Hens are the females. Peacocks are males. Stupid comment to make, I know, but that's the only thing I wanted to add.

That aside, this was a really good story. Thanks for a nice short story!

I confess that I'm a sucker for stories with beautifully sad endings, and this one is one of the best. I love your Erik. I love it when he says to Christine, "I will always hate your young man for taking you from me, but I will also always love him for every time he makes you smile. While I may not be able to watch over you while I’m in Hell, the thought of you being happy will be enough to sustain me." Congratulations on a wonderful piece of writing.

Wonderful. That was so...moving. I really loved it...he died happy. (I'm such a sap..I cried so hard I could barely see, at the end...) This was quite true to Leroux, I believe...very good, very good.
