mmkbrook chapter 1 . 9/7/2015 Wonderful. I have read several novels tackling time travel dealing with WW2. This is such a wonderful start, and includes the Stargate. Can't wait to read more. |
steadfast chapter 13 . 10/2/2012 I really enjoyed this. I truly appreciate the lengths to which you went to put our guys on earth, yet in an uunfamiliar time/culture. Much like "Solid Blood of the Spirit," you have given us a great adventure and a new culture. Plus, of course, Jack and Sam get together. Although I have to admit, this part did give me a bit of a headache thinking about it. I would be great if you could write more SG-1. Fan fiction writers like you keep it alive and exciting for the rest of us. |
Schatze8210 chapter 13 . 5/20/2012 I have just finished reading this most praisworthy story, and want to thank you for completing it and for sharing. Good luck with all you attempt. |
Eternal Density chapter 13 . 8/27/2008 yep, that was a great story, with lots of trials and twists :D |
Eternal Density chapter 1 . 8/27/2008 wow, a very interesting start to a fic. I like this sort of timetravel story! definitely will continue reading. |
VisualIDentificationZeta chapter 12 . 11/17/2007 uh, I have a question... why do you constantly emphasize that Sam is something special, something better, but ignore Jack completely? Sam was only a part of a team that made the Gate to work, she didn't do it by herself. Also, to get the rank of a Colonel one has to have AT LEAST 20 years of service in, Academy time not including. This is a requirement that can't be swayed even by connections. Also there is no way that Sam would be a Colonel at only 30, when she was just a Captain at that time or any time before her 42 years of age. She was 42 when she was assigned to Atlantis. Her chances for family, for kids, wasted just because of some job, with her age it is highly improbable that she'd ever have kids, much less kids without the Down syndrome. Sad, isn't it? To throw something like that away for a job... |
Buffy2204 chapter 13 . 5/15/2006 I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed this story. It really made my day to read such a well put together story. Keep up the good work. I'm now off to read your other fics. :) |
MovinOut chapter 13 . 1/20/2006 Very well put together story. The movement between the action and character development was nicely done. I felt the balance was perfect. I loved the interactions between all the characters, especially, of course, Sam and Jack. One quibble though. I think it's clear your're writing from England maybe? Or Australia? CHeeky is not a word people in the US use in daily conversation. Also, you have a scene where Jack goes to his cabin fishing for a day. Jack lives in Colorado Springs, his Cabin is in the lake district in Minnesota. That's over a 15 hour drive. And a 2hour flight. Not to mention the airport and airline hassels involved in flying in and out the same day. So Jack could never have gone up to his cabin fishing on Sunday. |
roseofthegate chapter 13 . 1/12/2006 Wow! What a story. It's delightfully written, especially in the sense that you rewrote StarGate history. I enjoyed going 'back' to pre-WWII France. History has always been a great love of mine and combining StarGate and history makes the perfect story! Great job! This is one of the best fics I've ever read! Jenn |
Sparkly Goodness chapter 13 . 1/10/2006 I loved it! The writing was magnificent and you rounded it off nicely. :D Kudos to you! |
Natters chapter 13 . 1/9/2006 aww! so swet! great ending to a great fic |
Arrant Schemata chapter 13 . 1/9/2006 Brilliant. You even managed to get some Daniel/Janet in there - go you! Really enjoyed this story and this chapter gave a good enough explanation as to why there were differences yet it was the same reality that they had left from - very complicated thing to do I imagine. Hope you enjoy Europe, it is an amazing continent (but then again I would say that, I live on it!) Arrant Schemata |
silver chapter 13 . 1/9/2006 Good epilogue. You're right; it doesn't explain everything, but it explains enough, I think, to make it satisfying. I really enjoyed this whole fic, and it's been my pleasure to follow along until the end. I look forward to your next work :) -sil |
Angel8818 chapter 12 . 12/25/2005 This story is so fantastic... i'm speechless... angel8818 |
longstoryshort chapter 12 . 12/25/2005 Wow, I can't beleive you cranked that out before Christmas... Amazing! I tried to review a few days ago, but I think 38 degrees causes a meltdown on my computer. I have a great deal of respect for anyone who attempts to write about time travel, because I really can't get my head around it, let alone explain it. You did a great job. It's a funny, dramatic, interesting and nicely mushy (in parts) story. Thanks for a good read. |
