pendaly chapter 9 . 4/22/2018 A friend of mine just recommended me this fic after watching the static shock episode with Timezone in it and it's such a delight. It's moving and beautiful and well-written and has the happy ending that it really wouldn't be complete without. Thank you so much for this incredible fic, it was wonderful to read. |
dark-enedties chapter 1 . 6/17/2017 This just made me cry, I just started rewatching Static Shock and it made me want to revisit all the FanFiction I loved. I had forgotten your story but reading it again made me tear up like crazy. You are very talented. I hope you get inspired to write some more tics about Static and Gear. |
Kimnd chapter 8 . 5/23/2017 Okay. So, I love this story. But I actually think Virgil could've made a convincing argument that Gear would save more lives than Static. After all, if Gear was around inventing technology, there's no reason to believe that humankind could make all kinds of technological leaps that wouldn't be possible without him. Certainly, a lot of lives would be lost since Static wouldn't be there to save them-Gear just doesn't have the raw power Static does. But the technology that Gear and Richie, presumably, built would be able to save lives in other arenas. Just imagine if Richie Foley and Elon Musk teamed up! And Richie has combat experience enough to protect himself, something somebody even as brilliant as Musk doesn't have. With the incredible leaps and bounds Musk is pushing human technology to, the idea of having two people like that would involve far more net good than a soldier, no matter how powerful Static is. Ultimately having Static AND Gear is the even better option, obviously. But given the limits they told Virgil about, he definitely could've made an argument for him being the better death choice. |
SunFish chapter 9 . 11/14/2016 Oh, that was painful. You really waited until the last second... and then dragged it out a little longer. I'm so jealous. Beautifully done. |
